I have now made this twice and changed it the second time. I never do this but I'm doing it for the benefit of those who would like feedback and for the sake of the dish. The first time I made it as is, it was okay and wasn't sure if I would make it again. I give it a 3/5 as is. However, I did change it and used this as a base recipe. I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper, added chicken broth in lieu of water and 2 chicken boullions, I also added celery and carrots during the cooking process. About 1 hour before it was ready I also added frozen corn and peas. My least favorite part of the dish the first time was the refrigerated biscuit dough. So, I used a recipe from allrecipes for Dumplings by Carol and they were amazing. Thank you Carol's mother!!! Had a little bit leftover and to my surprise it was even better the next day including the dumplings. There is a lot you can do with this recipe but be sure you use real dumplings!!! Be creative with it and enjoy!!
