One-Pot Stuffed Pepper Dinner

Trying to use up some green pepper so I made this for dinner tonight. Boyfirend & I liked this one. It was easy to make and quite tasty. The only changes I made were I used an extra 1/4 pound of ground beef, a 28 ounce can of petite diced tomates, and substituted grated Parmesan for the shredded, since these were the ingredients I had on hand. Next time I till try the shredded Parmasean but would not change anything else I did.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

I had 9 chops so I used a 10 ¾ oz can of chicken broth and about a ½ can of water (enough to rinse out the can). I did not have poultry seasoning so I used 2 1/4 teaspoon sage, 3/4 teaspoon thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon marjoram. I did not use basil since I did not have any. I cooked on high for 4 hours. The house smelled great while this was cooking; however, the chops seemed dry and flavorless. The “sauce” never thickened up so my boyfriend used ketchup for flavor and moisture. Giving this a 3 only because my boyfriend said he would eat it again.

Garlic Top Sirloin Pot Roast

I love crock pot recipes because they are so easy. This was no exception. Toss everything in and in 8 hours we had a great meal. My only concern was with the bouillon cubes, was not sure if they should be tossed in whole or disolved in the water. To be on the safe side I heated the water and disolved the cubes before adding them to the pot. I was also worried this might make the meal too salty but it was not. I am not much of a cook so I followed the recipe; except did not have green peppers so I left that out and I only had minced garlic so used that instead of the cloves. Cooked it on low for 8 hours and the meat was so tender it fell apart while I was trying to get it out of the pot. This recipe is a keeper! Next time I might try others suggestions to add cream of mushroom soup or make gravy out of the broth/sauce.

Garlic Red Potatoes

Gave this 3 stars but problem may not be recipe but my cooking abilities. Follow the recipe, except I could not stir to coat the potatoes because the dish was too full (maybe I had more than 2 pounds of potatoes) and forgot to add the Parmesan cheese until I uncovered the dish for the last 10 minutes. Didn't really make a difference since I needed to almost double the cooking time before the potatoes were done.
