Eggs n Bacon Cupcake

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
These were liked alright by my family, but not a huge success. I had wanted to freeze them for quick breakfasts for them. They did not freeze very well at all.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
These are great and easy! I pull out the bread machine and keep making batches the whole day, stocking my freezer with rolls to keep my kids happy. Place in a tin or 10 in a ziplock gallon bag to place in pan when ready to cook. Bakes best in glass pan. I like to bake at 375, and if frozen, I put them in as the oven is preheating to help them rise more. Cooking time can be a fine line, too little is doughy in center but once browned they can get pretty crispy around the egdes. Also, I just use butter cause I never buy margarine, put it in my quisinart cut into pats, throw in the cinn. and b. sugar, pulse to blend. Then crumble and spread around on the rolls before rolling. I found that sprinkling the filling on the butter, alot of it falls out when cutting the rolls apart.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
super easy and good. i made with rotissire chicken from costco and used the chicken broth instead of water like some else suggested. Could be a good meal if you end up with alot of leftover turkey meat. i added vegetable, carrots, celery and corn, it seemed to need a bit more then just chicken and for us, it enhanced the flavor.

we're usually a fan of coffee recipes and cocoa, but this was not a hit. For my sons who LOVE break, it was just so so.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
A hit with even my picky eaters who don't usually eat breads and cookies. I did add a bit extra coffee flavor as the others had suggested. Very good.

Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
I thought these were really good. My boys weren't crazy about them because of the broccoli of course, so if you have a picky one, they may not like them but the rest of us really like it. They were pretty easy to make and I liked it with fire roasted tomato and garlic sauce over the top.

Sinful Flourless Espresso Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
The flavor is good but the texture was not. No one liked it in my house or my neighbors as I gave her some to bake up. Broken up into pieces in like an ice cream blizzard or topping it is good but I won't make it again. Not cakelike or fudgelike.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Maybe it is because I have an ancient sunbeam mixer but this just did not mix well and was a mess. My mixer could not mix it. Should have tried some of suggestions but doubt it would have helped. We also weren't to crazy about the taste once we did get it mixed up.

Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I used Chinese five spice since I didn't have cayenne pepper to give it some spice. This worked well since it is an ingredient used in plum chicken. I cut down on the ketchup since others suggested it and was glad I did. I also added some honey as well. It turned out really well. My family enjoyed it.

This is a great recipe. I didn't have any sesame oil so I made it without and was still good. Made double the sauce though cause my kids like over their rice.

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I made this according to the instructions and it was okay but not as good as we were expecting from the other reviews. We usually like any type of potatoes but these were just so so and the kids didn't like them at all.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
This is a good recipe and my kids liked it. I would definitely slow cook it for a long time to get the chops tender. I fried the onions in the drippings and some of the beer as well cause we like them crispy but after slow cooking they kinda cooked away anyway. Can try frying and then adding them to the top of the chops when they are done. Served with mashed potatoes with ranch dressing in them and was a hit.

Slow Cooked Beef Fajitas

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
This is an awesome easy recipe, however, what seems to have made it so awesome is the fajita mix I have used since the first time I made it. I have run out and used the regular packaged mix but it isn't near as good. So I hate to post anything to try and plug any product but if you can I would use Bolner's Fiesta chicken fajita seasoning. I have to order it online cause it is from Texas but it lasts a long time and I will buy a couple little jars of it and give as gifts along with the recipe to nieghbors, teachers or whoever I might have to give a small gift to sometime.

I only give this 4 instead of a 5 because my family still liked the canned better. I thought it tasted more authentic and delicious!

I actually just used the cream filling for a recipe i needed help with, boston cream pie/cake. I ended up making a 9 inch yellow cake cutting into half horizontally. I made a nine inch cake thin mocha chocolate layer and the chocolate glaze from the actual recipe. Made an awesome and tasty layered cake

Great way to use left over fish from dinner before. I used 1% milk because that was all I had on hand and turned out fine.

Mexican Chicken Burrito Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
Whenever I have to take a meal to a family, this is it. It is always a sure hit. It goes a long way. You can make it more or less spicey to suit your taste. This pan used to give my family of 5 two dinners and some lunches, but now that my boys are teenagers, I am lucky to have it make it last for two dinners!
