Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 13, 2001
The whole family loved them. They are chewy and good. We left out the raisins because my husband hates raisins. They were sweet enough without fruit but next time I might try adding apricots with pecans.

Haddock Bubbly Bake

Reviewed: May 12, 2001
VERY good. I used 5 haddock fillets (2 rectagular blocks) and thawed them for 2 and 1/2 days in fridge before using. I added whole carrots along sides of pyrex dish. Carrots were good in the dish. I didn't have cream of mushroom so I used cream of asparagus. My kids ate it. Was Very easy. I think you don't need to add any extra salt because soup is salty anyway. Thanks for a nice recipe. S.A. Bachelor's Stew

Reviewed: May 1, 2001
My husband likes very lean beef, so we used a "mock tenderloin" cut up into cubes. I did brown the meat the night before. I only had one can of tomato soup...so I threw in a little extra water. It turned out great! I thought the gravy it made was delicious. I used small pearl tapioca because it was cheaper but next time I will use the finer ground up kind...I think it would be more appetizing. Thanks for a wonderful easy recipe.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: May 1, 2001
We love garlic. I used turkey tenderloin sliced very thin . It was good and kids said make it again! It was rather spicy even for me so I will use less garlic powder next time. I cut the breadcrumb/cheese mix using only 1/3 cup of each. I still had enough. I didn't need 6T of butter either. All in all I liked this and will try it again. Thanks!

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2001
My picky children loved this recipe. I did cut down on the cheese content and I used extra lean ground beef. I assembled dish the night before and that gave the potatoes time to thaw. I had Ore-Ida frozen"home-style" potatoes on hand instead of Tater tots, and it came out very well, with potatos browning nicely on top of dish. Thanks for this recipe. I didn't grow up eating Tater Tot Hot dish in Texas, but I think it is a classic kid recipe. Sue Alice

Boscobel Beach Ginger Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2001
If you love fresh ginger, this is the ginger-cake for you! It differs from Gingerbread in that it is not so dark; it is more golden colored, and does not have any molasses. But the fresh ginger taste is strong and wonderful. I topped the cake with whipped cream. Also I used a large glass baking dish and baked using convection oven at 325 for 30-35 minutes. Sue Alice
