Disappointing; overpowering "sweetness," missing the rich chocolate taste I was expecting. Neither my husband nor I cared much for it. Won't make it again.

Very good. Followed the suggestion of underbaking the cake before topping with the praline mixture and it came out perfect.

This one is unremarkable but very quick & easy if you just crave something sweet.

This is VERY rich and a good dessert for a crowd, as a small piece will satisfy. Part of that richness is the creme cheese icing. So, on a portion of the cake (to lighten the load), I instead tried a dollop of whipped cream sprinkled with some of the buttered/browned coconut. REALLY good! Also, prepared without the creme cheese icing, the cake doesn't require refrigeration. Cake is a bit crumbly, but very tasty whichever topping you choose.

This is GOOD! Although the cake fell after removing from the oven, that only served to make it very dense and rich, and wasn't gooey as one reviewer experienced. I topped it with chocolate ganache, and oh my, it disappeared in a hurry! I will use the tiny chocolate chips next time--already had a stockpile of the regular ones to use up. This is a very good chocolate cake. UPDATE: I have made this several times, and always use the mini chips. It's become my "go to" recipe for chocolate cake, so I felt it only fair that I raise the rating to 5 stars. It truly is my favorite chocolate cake recipe.

Very good. I skinned the chicken before browning, substituted seasoned garlic salt and dried parsley for summer savory, and chicken broth in place of water. Also thickened up the broth with a flour/water paste before serving. Tasty.

Quick, easy and tasty. We like these with soup or stew.

These brownies had a nice texture, but even though I halved the flour, they were not as chocolatey as I had expected, and a bit too sweet. A cup of mini chocolate chips would improve the result, I believe.

Very good. I followed the suggestion of one reviewer and piled it all in the crockpot, so easy. However, I would next time leave out the nuts using this method as they were a bit spongey (traditional baking might not produce this result). Will use this recipe again, a big hit with my husband who loves cooked apples.

I baked these cookies for my Grandma's 102nd birthday--she loves dates. Following instructions exactly, I thought the cookies were a little bland. So I sprinkled subsequent batches with a sugar/cinnamon mixture before baking and they were very good. Next time I'll use more dates and nuts. (Have to admit that the first thing I reached for all week when I walked in the door from work was one of these cookies. They stay soft to the last crumb!) And Grandma loved them, too.

Mmmmmm good! Only made two changes--an extra tsp of cinnamon in the batter and two cups of chopped dates (just like them). Smells heavenly, too!

Next time I will double the recipe (just as it is). These disappear in a hurry. Delicious!

Uncomplicated and very good, this recipe is a good alternative to a baked potato. I've made this recipe a number of times, and don't change a thing.

A bit too sweet and artificial tasting for me. Husband didn't care for it, either. I had leftovers I eventually threw away.

Let's face it--it's all in the broth when you're ready to serve. I simmered in beef broth, added extra garlic, almost all the seasonings others had suggested (celery, a little cumin, basil), and it turned out "biscuit-soppin'" good.

This is so good! I received it as a gift and had to make some of my own. I keep a tin at work, and it's been wonderful to have a hot cup at my desk on those cold wintery days.

Not a fan of the dumplings, but the chicken was very good. I may try it again with a different dumpling recipe.

The only thing I changed was to use 2/3 C less sugar in the frosting. Very, very good!

My homemade biscuit attempts over the years have usually resulted in substitutes for hockey pucks---not these! Very tender. I added a tsp of sugar and a little extra cream as it seemed too dry, also kneaded only five or six times. Very good.
