Southern Style Chicken and Dumplings
This turned out great- It is most like how I was taught to make it (more years ago than I care to admit.) No lemon for me though and sometimes if I don't have the time or patience or ingredients, I just used canned biscuits, flatten them out a bit and there ya go!

I love this recipe and have been making it for years, but never thought to make it in a cast-iron pan. The perfect complement is home-churned ice cream. It isn't meant to be a pie at all, so don't look for a pie-crust type top. Glad you all are enjoying it as much as our family always has.
