About this Cook
I am 21 years old. I am from France and moved to the US at the age of 12. I am still on a green card. I met my husband in 9th grade. We dated for a year then we went and joined the US navy. A year and a half after that we were married. We now have been married for over 2 years and have a beautiful baby boy named Lukas
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Crepes, the way my grandma taught me. She was a chef and known for her cooking in Normandie. She taught me how to cook ever since I can remember. I love to cook anything from deserts to baking and slow cooking to just about anything. I also love to cook with wine and as my husband says one of my favorite ingredients is probably butter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
sooo many it would be to hard to cook. I think one of our family recipes we've had for generations and generation is probably our smoked samon. Cured in salt for days then marinated in herbs and white wine for an other day or so.
My cooking triumphs
Like I said I just love to cook and just about everything I cook up and make up comes out really good.
My cooking tragedies
haha wouldnt you like to know. I have a lot but I am sure I will be taught so many more when I start cullinary school in June 2009 :-D

Salade de Carottes Rapes
This is exactly how I remember it. I immigrated from France at the age of 12 and defenetly miss alot of receipes from there.

Real French Crepes
maybe its because I am from France.... But this is not the way I was taught to make crepes at all.... Adding a pinch of salt and sugar makes all the difference. I tried it your way and it didnt come out right at all. My husband loves my crepes. I started adding a pinch of vanilla to it lately and he just loves it even more.
