Grocery Store Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This is my absolute favorite frosting! What ever flavor instead of vanilla, I use almond, peppermint, very versitile frosting!! I use this recipe for all birthdays, fillings, even for our county fair. I get great ravs using this recipe! TY!! Update: after making this for years..my dd's tastes buds have changed-stating too sweet..so I modified switching out the water to whole milk-5 tbsp and modified directions to make it more professional since now taking cake orders-using my KA, beat on medium high butter and shortening. Add little at a time, sugar and continue to beat and scrape down till adding one tbsp at a time alternating the sugar and milk and finally beating after fully incorporating, beat on high for about 15 minutes. This definitely makes this more fluffier, creamier, less sweet, easier to pipe! Still love this recipe!!

Italian Chicken Sausage Stuffed Portabellas

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
I am in love with Al Fresco!! This is perfect for anyone who is watching their diet!! I am so glad to discover this!! I did some changes to the recipe to make it more healthier. I used non-fat greek yogurt, chopped onion, fresh chopped chives, used non-stick spray for cooking sausage and baking pan. I did not mix the yogurt with chicken but instead layered it topping the sausage with fat-free mozzerella!! I did bake it however longer than 7-8 minutes due to making the mushroom more throughly baked-delish!

Real Welsh Rarebit

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
Superb!! The only difference from this recipe is the tabasco sauce in which I switched out to 1/4 tsp of HQ cayenne pepper-so good and great comfort food!! Made this for my birthday dish and my dd loved it!! This dish is also great as appetizer just for dipping breads (warm app), fruits, crackers, veggies, served as fondue. We like it as a main dish, dipping our toasts into it! YUM!

New York Cheesecake by Breakstone's®

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
Nevermind the other reviewers-this is really a truly NY cheesecake Here's some hints-Since its not sweet enough the ratio of ingredients, I added 3/4 cup more of sugar, I used Keebler's Graham Cracker crumbs (1 cup), I sized to 10" springform, baked it for about 75-80 mins with water bath to prevent cracking..I do agree the crust a thin but easily remedied by doubling the crust. I did not use the cherry topping-it did not need it!! With these hints, it really became awesome-Its better than bakery style-even better than Cheesecake factory!! This will be made from now on in my kitchen!

Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
My mother used to make this all the time and she would do the same, add this here, there , to our liking. She would also use other bisquick recipes too. Very helpful to a single widowed mom of two small children, it was a keeper for her tight schedule, better than fast food, or boxed dinners! TY for reposting this as this is fond memories and surely be served at my table!
