Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 8, 2014
The dough was amazing, I think I could've got a couple more cookies if I didn't eat the dough. End result was even better. I followed the recipe exactly and used natural peanut butter.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Awesome. I used jimmy dean sausage instead of turkey sausage and left out the liver. I also used chicken stock because i didn't have turkey stock. I used dried herbs and it came out wonderful!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
Great recipe. I don't use "cream of" soups any longer, instead I melt 1/4 c of butter then add 1/4 c of flour and mix for about a minute then add 1 c of milk. This makes an excellent alternative to the cream of anything soups. I've used this successfully in green bean casserole as well with perfect results. (recipe stated replaces one regular sized can of cream of "whatever" soup.)

Amish Bread

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
Awesome bread. Love the flavor. I usually make this for when we have soup, i love dipping it in the soup. I always prepare the dough in my bread maker and put it in a loaf pan to bake (letting it rise again of course) I do agree with others that the 18 TB of water is strange, it's easier to say 1 cup plus 2 TB instead. Thanks for sharing a great recipe ShooseyQ!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I followed recipe to a T and the bird was not done in the amount of time stated. We had to forgo eating chicken that night and instead I made chicken and dumplins with it the next day. The meat was tasty, but wasn't enjoyed the night it was cooked which bummed me out. To get a perfect moist chicken cook it at 250 degrees for 5 hours. Turns out great every time and I wish I would have went with my gut instinct before cooking this one.

Lentil and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I have made this soup a few times. i always add 1 lb of sausage instead of the 1/2 lb since I like a hearty meaty soup. Also I don't shred the carrots but cut them in rounds. all the other proportions were spot on. I've also used bow tie pasta, shells and macaroni noodles in place of the ditalini pasta only because I didn't have it on hand. Thanks for a great recipe.

Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
This was great, I would only made a few changes for my preference. I did add a bit more cornstarch because I like my filling thick not runny. I was wondering weather to slice the strawberries or at least cut them in half, but it never said to...I would slice them for sure next time. The biscuit topping was delicious and went well with the fruit. I didn't have heavy cream so i just used 2% milk and they turned out perfect. (without the extra fat and calories) My kids say it needed more sugar, but I think if the strawberries were sliced it would have been a perfect amount. I will be making this again, I might try it with different fruit, (peaches or blueberries)

I make something similar to this, except I add garlic and saute it with the onions and peppers. I also like to top it all of with shredded cheddar cheese. this is requested often at my house.

Chocolate Brittle Surprise

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
This was so simple and so good. It's so easy to put together too! This one is a keeper! I didn't have to cook it for 17 minutes...i only had it in the oven for maybe 10 minutes, because it was starting to brown on the egde. It turned out perfect without the extra cook time. I also melted butter on stove and added brown sugar til it was completely disolved, then poured over crackers.

Golden Yam Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
These were amazing! I actually only had cooked yams, so I used those, and they made these SO MOIST! I especially liked these warm. I prefer to warm them up rather than eat them at room temp. My kids loved them too, and i think we ate the whole pan by the next day. Be careful, I would make them to share, or cut recipe in half or you might gain some lbs, cause you'll want to eat them all!

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
This sauce was excellent. I have to admit, i didn't have evaporated milk, so I just used regular whole milk, and added cornstarch for thickening. (it didn't get too thick, but the flavor was exceptional) I poured it over vanilla ice cream, and topped it with walnuts and chocolate sprinkles.

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
this recipe is good. I usually half the recipe since it makes way too much for my famliy of 4. I actually keep the onion, flour, and salt measurements the same...but use less milk and potatoes. It actually turns out better this way for me. The original recipe (if followed exactly) is slightly bland in flavor, so I would advise you double the onion and add a little more salt for flavoring if you make this recipe.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
I love how easy this recipe is. It's really a no fail recipe. I followed the advice of other reviewers and left out the cream of tartar. For a great flavor I added a teaspoon of thyme and a teaspoon of parsley. The flavor from the thyme was wonderful! Will make these again.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
I have been using a similar recipe for years with the exception of adding the peanut butter to the chocolate chips. ***WARNING*** It's best to make these if you are able to share with others, otherwise you will wind up eating most of the pan!!! They are that good!
