Roasted Red Pepper Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
This has great flavor, just needs a little thickening or something, it didn't feel substantial enough. Overall, if you are looking for a light meal, this one will do ya fine.

South Of The Sea Chicken and Bananas

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
I did not like this at all. My husband found the first bite to be a little strange, but stated that the flavor grew on him and got better the more he ate. He said the chicken was really moist. I think the sweetness just did me in. Sorry, not a fan.

Pesto Tuna Salad with Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2006
Hats off to the creator of this, girl you ROCK!!! I am not even a fan of tuna, but this was fabulous. I served on little garlic parmesan italian toast, and it was to die for. I can't wait to try it with pasta! Thanks again! Oh, I nearly forgot, I did add some pine nuts, cause I love them, and cut back on the mayo. DIVINE!!

Fresh Rhubarb Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
LOVED THIS! The tang of the rhubarb really makes it sing. I didn't have any walnuts, so I used pecans and didn't mind a bit. Thanks for a great way to use up that old bread!!

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2006
Amazing! A kicked up roast! I made this in my pressure cooker, added the pepperoncini early. What great flavor! Served on a kaiser roll with lots of peppers and a slice of mozzarella or provolone.

Cereal Yogurt Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
YUMMY! These are fantastic and the possibilities are endless! I used Quaker Strawberry and Mango cereal with blueberry yogurt and doubled the recipe while still using the smaller pan to make a nice thick bar. Super easy, even kids can prepare. Great recipe! Thanks!

Tomatoless Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2006
This is a 5 star served as an appetizer, a little too rich to be served as the main dish.

Sicilian Pineapple Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2006
Wow! Who'd of thunk it? Pineapple? I tried this recipe because anything with the word sicilian in it gets my attention. I was not disappointed. This was fabulous! I cheated and used a can of crushed pineapple,(cause if my family saw the pineapple, they wouldn't even try it) and a can of crushed tomatoes and served it with a side of egg noodles. Wonderfully delicious! Thanks.

What a way to start the new year! Great for even the pickiest eaters. Substituted pork chops for the roast, crushed tomatoes for the juice, no problems. Thanks!

Asparagus with Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
Funny, those who already love asparagus will like this dish, but those who really don't care for asparagus will REALLY like this dish. Even kids - not sure if its the cheese or what, who cares as long as they eat it! Thanks!

Raisin Sour Cream Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
Yum! These bars make a nice dessert, with the only problem being I ate too many of them. Used light sour cream with no problem. Super easy!

Brunch on the Bayou

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This is a great way to use leftover French or Italian loaf bread. I didn't let it sit overnite, only a couple of hours, as my crew was hungry. I will make some small changes next time to make it more our taste, but it is good as is.

Peanut Butter Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
While normally not a fan of popcorn mixed with anything, I loved this. The coating would make a good dip overall, as the kids were dipping everything they could get there hands onto while I was making it (on the stovetop), even the rest of the marshmallows. Great recipe!

Chorizo Burger

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
I recently tried chorizo and fell in love with it and coudn't wait to try this recipe. Unfortunately, the grocers must be conspiring against me, as not one of them sold chorizo this week, so I made this with Hot Italian Sausage. It was wonderful, the sauce fabulous and versatile (I am already thinking of other things to use the sauce on) Everyone liked. Thanks!

Crab and Noodle Cakes with Cilantro-Lime Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
I wanted to make this so badly, but didn't have exactly the right ingredients. Used canned crab (gasp) and ditalini noodles, lite sour cream instead of mayo. It was fast and delicious!!! I could eat this everyday. Thanks for a super adaptable recipe. Keep em comin!

Exotic Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I am giving this a 5 with a different dressing, I don't know if I am just bad at making dressing or I just didn't care for this one. That being said, I used a balsamic vinegarette, and it was FABULOUS! Hearts of palm, first time tried, LOVE THEM! Great Job!

This is a good solid recipe as is, and could be revised to fit any preference or lifestyle. I used more broccoli and a lo-cal alfredo sauce. Very enjoyable!
