Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
Very tasty - sauteed the onions before I put them in the stuffing, and added 1/4 cup of red wine to the gravy. I removed the chops, added a cornstarch/water combo to thicken up the gravy, returned the chops to the pan, spooned some of the gravy on the chops, and cooked for an additional 5 minutes. Def. a keeper!

Delicious Apple Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
VERY delish. I reduced the amount of cinnamon and sugar, and drained some of the water off before putting in the blender for a few quick blends. It's really up to your own personal taste how much cinnamon and sugar you use...I had chopped up the apples instead of shredding them, leaving the applesauce chunky - PERFECT for my 16 month old learning how to use utensils! Very good on vanilla ice cream or all by itself.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
SO good - only used 3 eggs, substituted one cup of the white sugar with brown sugar, and put some chopped up frozen peanut butter cups on top that I had left over from another recipe. SO SO good - didn't last long!

Beef Bourguignon II

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
My husband, a hige fan of my all recipes meals, said to rate this one with 5 stars! Smelled SO good cooking all day and was pretty easy - something I could get together and into the oven during my 16 month old's naptime! Like others, I substituted 1 cup of wine with beef broth - I used Merlot as that was all I had. I used jarred onions - not sure if they are different from canned onions, but turned out delish! No need to add any other liquids at the end - there was plenty of "gravy", and I had to let it cook an extra half an hour at 200*. A keeper!

Kraft® Boston Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
Very tasty, and very easy! The kind of recipe you can make with a 16 month old running around! The filling was delish - got a lot of compliments and requests for the recipe. One tip: cut the cake in half with a piece of thread or unflavored dental floss - so much easier than trying to cut it!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
Followed directions to a T - smelled great, but were flat, mushy, fell apart, and were embarrasing to bring to Thanksgiving. I'll stick to my own recipe.

Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
the first disappointment of mine on allrecipes.com after many years of yummy recipes! the meatballs fell apart way too easily, and I used extra breadcrumbs and higher fat meat as other users suggested. My husband was scared by the amount of onions! The taste was alright, but we are used to my off-the-boat Swedish Aunt's meatballs. We prefer a brown sauce. Wouldn't do again :-(

So so so yummy - my favorite sauce now! I added 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 2 cloves of garlic, and added the salt and pepper to taste as it simmered. Eat with bread!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
huge hit at the party i took this too. i doubled most of the fruit, added in peaches instead of extra straberries (im cheap!) and i kept the sugars the as though it was one normal batch. when i cup up the tortillas, i stuck they in large muffin tins, giving them a kind of scoop effect- make double of the chips, they're delish!

Margaritas on the Rocks

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
Insanely delicious!! I didn't use the lime on the rim, nor the salt, but they were top notch - very very strong, but they should be! It was an expensive batch to make :-) but sooooo worth it!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I'm not a huge pot pie fan, but this was great! I took the other user reviews and made more gravy - a little less than double the amount. I also added Bell's Poultry Seasoning and garlic powder to the gravy. I boiled the chicken, frozen veggies, and a bay leaf in chicken broth. I baked the pie crust for 10 minutes and let it cool prior to adding the mixture, and it was not soggy at all! Defintely a keeper!
