We are a family that LOVES sausage! In fact, my mom, dad and I just got done making our own, so this month's Allstar challenge was right up my alley. The first recipe I made was 'Spicy Sausage Pasta Alfredo': http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spicy-Sausage-Pasta-Alfredo/Detail.aspx< . This couldn't have been more perfect, as it had all of my favorite things...sausage, pasta AND alfredo sauce, lol! Needless to say, this was excellent and headed right into the 'keeper' box. We tend to eat bigger breakfasts for dinner ('brinner'), so next I made 'Tre Formaggi Fritatta': http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tre-Formaggi-Fritatta/Detail.aspx< . We LOVED this! I did use a mix of both mild and hot sausage that I de-cased, which gave this a nice spicy kick, and since I do not have an oven-safe pan, I baked this in a casserole dish, which worked perfectly. Even the little guy, who is not a fan of these types of egg bakes liked this one and devoured it, so that's definitely saying something. Lastly, but certainly not least, I made 'Italian Sausage Appetizer Bread': http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Italian-Sausage-Appetizer-Bread/Detail.aspx< . Again, I used a mix of both mild and hot sausage. This was another huge hit! All of the recipes that I made this month were not only super simple to make, but they were all absolutely delicious, and that was a huge bonus.

I am looking forward to trying a few more, myself!

Hello Christina. I was admiring your beautiful sausage photos. They all look good. I love sausage bread. I always wanted to make sausage, but haven't done that yet. I bet it's great to have a freezer full of homemade sausage. Nice Blog.

About Me
Hi Everyone! My name is Christina and I live in Pittsburgh (born and raised here) with my husband, Jim (we have been married for 11 years), my son Gabriel (he is 7), and our twin baby girls born June 22, 2011, Abby and Ally. I love cooking and sharing recipes and have a pretty extensive cookbook/recipe collection. I think my love of cooking comes from my mom and dad. We are definately a family that loves to cook (AND EAT!). I also enjoy watching hockey, LET'S GO PENS!, walking, crocheting and doing crafts. I am looking forward to meeting alot of new people here, and sharing tips and ideas.
My favorite things to cook
EVERYTHING! I love trying new things and we are not a picky family, so anything goes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just cook with love and patience. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Lebanese, so we have tons of family traditions.
My cooking triumphs
When I was maybe 12 years old, I had a dinner party for some close neighbors and I made stuffed shrimp, homemade gnocchi with sauce, salad, homemade croissants and creme caramel for dessert. I was so proud of myself. When I cook and I can see the look of enjoyment on the people I am servings faces, that is a triumph all in itself.
My cooking tragedies
None that I can recall, LOL!
