About this Cook
I am studying fashion design at Florida State University. Who says there isn't time to cook when you have patterns to make, dresses to sew, illustrations to draw, tests to study for, and papers to write?
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pretty much anything. I like to have people over to try new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom would cook breakfast for my sister and I almost every Saturday even once we moved out. It was a good opportunity to get together every week and catch up and enjoy delicious food like crepes or pancakes! Hopefully if we all live in the same state again we'll be able to reinstate the tradition.
My cooking triumphs
Months after watching a friend cook shrimp curry, I was able to recreate it from my memory alone. It's not exactly the same, but it's tasty!
My cooking tragedies
I haven't had any real cooking tragedies, but from time to time I forget about a side dish that needs to be started earlier and have to postpone dinner/eat it in courses, because that dish is still cooking.

Cucumber Sandwich
This sandwich was absolutely delicious. I prepared as the recipe states except I used balsamic vinegarette dressing instead of oil and vinegar because that's what I had on hand. It would also be good with grilled chicken. I highly recommend this recipe.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III
I love this recipe. I prepare exactly as listed except I never use the almond extract because I don't have it on hand. The cookies come out perfectly. My only advice is to double the recipe because once your friends and family found out you made them they go very quickly!
