Chicken or Turkey Crepes with Tarragon

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This is my second review of this dish. The taste is good but the quantities are off. The filling is not enough for more than 6-7 crepes. I made it today again with 3 boneless chicken breas.ts I boiled the chicken breasts, added garlic salt and chicken bouillon to the water. I then used the cooking water for my broth. I left out the tarragon, added 1/4 tsp rosemary and 1/4 tsp thyme, 1/8 tsp fresh black pepper and it made 6 nice sized crepes. There is plenty of sauce. So, if you are looking to make 12 crepes use more chicken I love this recipe it is delicious and versatile.

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
I don't usually review recipes because I am usually very happy with the results but this one really gave me a hard time. The breading clumped together on the filets and there wasn't enough to coat all of them. The breading fell off in the pan and stuck to it. I used butter in stainless steel cookware on medium heat. The tilapia ended up in pieces. I really don't know what went wrong. It was edible, just disappointing.

Sausage Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This was delicious. My picky eaters liked it. I didn't have quite enough salsa so I used what I had and added 1 tsp. of taco seasoning. I also used a whole package of yellow rice with seasoning (slightly less than 2 cups) instead of white rice. It was quite flavorful and made a very generous pan full.

Mom's Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Sorry but for me these were not edible because they were way too sweet. I think they would be fine with 1/4 cup brown sugar. This recipe has potential and I will try it with the revision. Sorry.

Korean Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
This is a delicious salad. You can't go wrong with bacon and spinach. It makes enough dressing that we have enough for two salads. My husband is not a salad fan either and he has requested this one!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
This was delicious. I used a 6lb pork loin cut in half. I patted 3 cloves of finely diced garlic into the roast, shook on some salt and pepper, increased the dressing to 2/3C because of the size of the roast, used catalina dressing instead of french as others suggested and one can of cranberry sauce, mine had whole berries. I served this tonight and it got rave reviews, especially from my son and husband who are not cranberry fans. It did cook quicker than expected. Mine was done in about five hours but stayed moist on warm. Plenty of juice to use for gravy. Thanks for this great recipe.

Red Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This is a great recipe. For me it is a little easier to bake the bacon. The instructions were on the back of the package. Just check it frequently so it doesn't burn. I also decreased the bacon to one pound and for us it was still plenty. I also used a little less sugar. The only other changes based on availability were to use green grapes and green onions. Omitted the red onion. This recipe is so versitile I think it can be changed many ways and still be delicious. Thanks Maaggie

Chocolate Spiders

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
I made these last night using mini m&m's for eyes. They are inedible. The packaged chow mein noodles I bought at the store were the problem. It was a waste of my time and food. I would suggest getting noodles from an asian restaurant. The store bought ones are just too gross.
