Beef, Burgundy Style
Absolutely delicious! I used beef base rather than demi glace and I didn't have fresh herbs on hand so I used a few t. of l'herb de Provance I had as well as baby bella mushrooms and finished it off in the oven for 2 hours at 325. I made an herb butter with the same herb blend and toasted some good hearty semolina bread to serve with this. It was divine and perfect for a chilly winter night!

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken
The soy sauce was WAY too overpowering, so much so that we couldn't eat much of it. This recipe was a big flop in my house, all of the flavors got lost so I can't say if there was enough mango or not. If you cut the soy sauce down, it might be an interesting meal but I agree that it needs something green and crunchy to add some variety to the visual and textural appeal.

Creamy Rice Pudding
YUM! Had some leftover Basmati Rice..worked great and smelled wonderful, of course. Definitely temper the egg mixture before adding to the pot but didn't find any need to wait on the sugar just started everything cold and brought it up to temp slowly over med. heat. Also used canned condensed milk to give it an extra creamy feel. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Way better than my mom's recipe...but don't tell her I said that!
