About this Cook
I've always been a cut and paste type of cooker. Utilizing what I have in the fridge and cabinets and experimenting with spices is generally what I do in the kitchen. However, a well planned meal is definitely most fun with another chef in the kitchen and a variety of challenging recipes to work on. I enjoy cooking for people, making appetizers and making particular meals with friends (i.e. chili)

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa
I added cherry tomatoes too. Definitely a great recipe.

Jalapeno Poppers I
yummy! Easy to make. Panko crumbs also work instead of the chex.

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup
Great staple recipe, but I decided to have a bit of fun with it. First, I substituted 2 cups of heavy cream for both half/half and condensed milk. Used spicy sausage instead of bacon and added extra ingredients throughout slow cooking time. I added chopped carrots, MUSHROOMS and frozen spinach. The mushrooms were not in my originally cooked soup, but realized how ideal of an addition it would make to this recipe. Add fresh bread to dip and shredded cheese to melt. Enjoy.
