Jalapeno-Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
This was a very tasty burger. The cheese combination was interesting. The blue cheese was a bit overpowering, so next time will use less, it may have been my mistake. Will make again, with a little tweaking, less blue, a little less jalepenos, so that it won't be too "hot" for guests that aren't that fond of spicy. Maybe anaheims.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Liked this recipe as I never have chocolate squares the other recipes call for. Do not over bake, as it is hard to tell how they are doing with such a dark color. The minute I saw cracking on the top I took them out for a chewy moist cookie.

Bookbinder's Fabulous Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
Easy and impressive! I actually cut the recipe down to three servings, and used a muffin pan for individual servings (which made six muffin cup sizes. I used a little more graham crackers for more of a crust. The cooking time was much shorter. Took them out just as the tops started to crack. I also made a little extra apricot topping and dripped it over the edges. They were very refreshing and pleasing in appearance.

Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
This was very tasty. However my roast continued to cook while it rested, as I only have one oven, had to make the pudding after taking out the roast. So would cook it for a shorter period of time, to allow for the resting. Also would grease the muffin tin, as the pudding stuck. But was very satisfying and reminded me of my grandmother's cooking.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
This really is like steak-house bread! Mine wasn't goopy as other reviews say, it was perfect. Infact I took the bread out 10 min. early. Didn't have instant coffee, so used left over AM coffee instead of the water asked for. Also added a little extra honey for a totally sweet bread.

Cream Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
This bread has just a subtle taste and feel of cream cheese. A Person wouln't know it was in there if they hadn't read the recipe. It made wonderful toast, and I couldn't stop tearing off an untoasted piece for a snack until it was gone. Add gluten for chewy texture.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
These bagels were fairly easy to make, if you have alot of time. I added some gluten to make them more chewy. They tasted like Sara Lee Bagels. But I agree with another review on making bagels, I think I'll stick to buying them at the market.

Oil Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
This was an extremely easy pie crust to work with. I am trying to get away from lard, butter, etc., so this seemed to be n excellent substitute. I miss the flavor of the other types of crust, but the filling of the pie is the best part, right?! Will use this recipe in the future.

Fettuccine Alfredo with Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
I read the other reviews before I made this recipe, and everyone was totally right! This was so simple, and easy I didn't even feel as if I was cooking. A great way to use up left over ham. I imagine it could be made fancier with added veggies, or spices, but why complicate a very easy, satisfying meal!
