Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
these were really good. i did add the almond extract as someone suggested, and i probably could have added a little more flour as the dough was sticky but once i chilled it it was much easier to work with. i think next time i will try orange extract. i also added half a cup of choc chips instread fof the walnuts, and 1 cup of dried cranberries (did not chop them). I skipped the glaze, and i prob could have reduced the sugar by at least 1/4 cup as these are quite sweet. But they are really tasty :)

Yogurt-Marinated Salmon Fillets (Dahi Machhali Masaledar)

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This was great ! Im trying to make fish at least once a week, and I thought I'd try this out...loved it ! My boyfriend was surprised when I told him the marinade was yogurt (fat free !) Only thing I changed was a little extra tumeric (1/2 tsp) and I didnt have any cilantro so I skipped that. Seriously I will be making this often, it was so easy and delicious.

This was really great ! I followed the recipe exactly and was so pleased with the results...I think next time I will add some more ginger root and maybe some more spices...I think it needed a little more kick, but I like my food spicy :)

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
This was great ! I took others advise: 1 cup white sugar, and 1 brown, 1/2 cup veg oil+1/2 cup applesaue, increased the spices. I actually baked this as a loaf so it took a while to bake (almost 1.5 hours) but this because there was so muc batter. i think this would also do well with a cream cheese icing... Was really delicious, i was skeptical at first about how the pumpkin would be, but it was not at all overpowering. Def try this recipe, its delicious!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
Wow this was amazing ! It certainly took forever to make, though. I did follow other reviewers advise: less sugar, no salt, let the noodles sit in hot water instead of boiling them, assembled everything and left it in the fridge the nite before (i did cook the sauce though, and then assembled). I also used ground turkey instead of beef, and fat free ricotta to try to make it healhtier. i ended up using 1 lb of mozzarella. I didnt do to well slicing it thin enough, so i tore it into pieces between the layers. also, i think i had about 4 layers, since my box came with 16 pieces of pasta. Another addition was adding fresh basil to the sauce but also the each layer of pasta with the mozzarella. this gave it a really nice taste ! It cam out beautifully, my only complaint was that the sauce is a little heavy..Im thinking if I have time next time it might be better to make a fresh sauce instead of using the canned tom sauce and crushed toms. Im still giving it 5 stars though ! totally worth the effort, now I have enough for a weeks worth of lunches !
