Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

This was a hit! I used toasted pine nuts instead of almonds, and I added some cubed brief cheese. I will definitely be making this one again!

Broccoli Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2001
I thought I'd try this recipe because it was very similar to oriental coleslaw made with cabbage, which I just love. My husband, however hates cabbage. This broccoli version was delicious. I used one large bunch of green onions. Quick and easy to make, and looked very colourful on the table. I will be making this recipe again!

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

EXCELLENT!!! This was the best salmon barbeque recipe that I've tried in a long time! The salmon was moist, flavourful, and looked great. Don't change a thing!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2004
Wow! Great recipe. I had two pork tenderloin roasts which weighted about 1.2 pounds each. Folded ends under on both small ends of the tenderloin so that they wouldn't dry out while cooking, then layered the two roasts to make one large roast. Worked perfectly. 45 minutes gave me a medium rare roast. Perfect. I didn't have brown gravy mix packet so used a packet of chicken gravy mix instead. Worked great! The only thing that I would do differently next time, would be to NOT add the half teaspoon of salt. The packaged mixes are quite salty already and you don't need the extra salt you get when you rub the spices into the roast. This recipe was both quick and easy. What more could you ask for?

Garlic-Shrimp Angel Hair

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Simply delicious! You don't need to change a thing! This recipe is fancy enough for company, and is ideal as a fast and easy meal after working all day. The first time I made this I froze the leftovers, but I found that after reheating, too much of the sauce had been absorbed. If I froze this recipe again, I would keep the pasta and sauce separate until serving.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I doubled this recipe and put it in an 8.5 x 14" pan. I did not double the cream cheese because I thought it would be too much, so only used 1.5 times the amount of cream cheese called for in the recipe. this turned out very good and suited my family's taste to a T. I wold definitely make this recipe again, without any further changes.

tasty veggies, a excellent sweet accompaniment to hotter dishes but may need a little more heat itself, visually stunning if spinach not over cooked.

Hazelnut-Mushroom Pilaf

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2005
This was a nice change from traditional rice, and while it was very tasty, I don't think I cared for the hazelnuts in it. I would definitely make it again, but I think next time I might add in some chopped water chestnuts for a little crunch without all the competing flavours of the nuts. I also took the advice of others and added about 14 C extra rice to the recipe.

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2005
These potatoes were very good. Was looking for something easy, but different. This was a great choice. I was surprised that the lemon wasn't overpowering. I think next time I would broil them thought because I like my potatoes with more color. I would definitely make these again.

Egg and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I made this for Christmas morning brunch. The taste was nice, but I found it to be quite dry, even after adding 2 additional eggs as suggested by a previous reviewer. I don't think I would make this recipe again as there are others I have tried before, that I like better. For anyone wanting to try it, I'd suggest adding some sour cream or perhaps a can of cream soup.
