Best Spanish Rice

This was really good...and easy. I won't be buying the packets or boxes of it anymore! I was lazy and skipped the onion...used onion powder instead. Added some cumin and a little chili powder.

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Got rave reviews. Browned the pork on the stove and then baked at 400 for about 10 min. I deglazed the pan with some white wine and threw in the marinade for a quick and easy sauce.

Hot Bean Dip

We really enjoyed this! I tried it as I was making it and it did seem to need something...so I added half a bottle of taco sauce to the mix and it was EXACTLY what it needed. It realy was delicious!

Monte Cristo Sandwich

I leave the crust on the bread. Also, I only use turkey if I happen to have it. I also put just a little bit of dijon mustard on the bread. These turn out really good and very crunchy!

German Potato Pancakes

Well, I followed the recipe exactly and I thought they were kind of blah, but my bf thought they were great. Instead of sour cream on top (like some suggested), I used ranch dressing. This was just what they needed.

I added fresh garlic and basil and fried in butter. I don't know exactly what was wrong with it, but it just wasn't that good. It was ok at best. The bf liked it tho.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Instead of salt and onion salt, I used an onion soup packet. I had about a 2.5lb chuck roast, but kept all of the seasoning amounts the same. I asked my bf how many stars...he said 6. He definitely enjoyed it!
