Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Simply Wonderful! Very flavorful. We had a small neighbors get together and people raved about how good these potatoes were. Shhhh don't tell anyone, but I used older potatoes that were soft. I wasn't sure if they were going to be any good; they were really fantastic. As others suggested I used the olive oil and using bacon bits really was a time saver. I coated the potato with the oil mixture then baked the potatoes for 1 hr at 425 degrees then let the taters sit for about 15 to 20 minutes before scooping out the insides. I followed by coating one side baking 7 min. then the other side and bakinb 7 min.

Dora's Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2003
I was very dissapointed because I was going to add this WONDERFUL COOKIE RECIPE to the site to finally share with everyone else. This recipe has also been in my family for years...I have very fond memories and specific memories of when we frosted the cookies that I'd licked my fingers so much that I felt sick. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE COOKIES and they do taste much better with icing/frosting. Definately addictive!!! I've tried a few other cut out cookies from this site and I'd have to say NO OTHER COMPARES!!! AWESOME!!

Brown Sugar and Spice Dry Ham Rub

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Fantastic! We smoked a precooked ham for 3 hrs @230 degrees. I first smothered the ham in regular yellow mustard. Then I used this rub over the entire ham and massaged it in. At the 2 1/2 hr mark I mixed up honey & BBQ sauce and put it all over the ham. It looked and tasted awesome! The entire family loved it for Thanksgiving.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: May 29, 2002
Absolutely fantastic. The key to this recipe is to use a couple different types of apples. Took this to the inlaws and they loved it. Of course they still don't like me much- oh well.

Pumpkin Spice Ring

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
Made this for Christmas dessert; It was fantastic! Next time though, I'll double the spices. I made a cream cheese, whipped topping and confectioners sugar icing that was a perfect compliment.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
Not bad, but its missing something. I did add alittle time & garlic, but it needs more seasonings. I think next time I'll think down the sauce maybe 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 milk. I also put broccoli in to get some veggies in the mix. Otherwise, not a bad start. I think I might try to work with it alittle more.

Butterhorn Rolls

EXtemely easy to make. This was my first attempted to make rolls on my own. Very good flavor and nice texture. These went extremely well with the American Lasagna by Rosemary. Try it. It's definatly worth it.

Healthier Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
Wonderful! The only substitution I made was pecans vs walnuts and doubled the cinnamon based on other reviews. I also lightened it up just a little bit more by using the brown sugar splenda and the domino light sugar. I also used a hint of lemon juice. Highly recommend!

Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2001
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I made this the night before Thanksgiving to take to the in-laws. However, since I am not a very good cook, I ended up forgetting to add the ginger to the cake batter. I did use it in the cream cheese batter and still turned out fine. I also didn't realize the cake could fit on one dishtowel and I broke it in a couple of spots trying to get it on one towel to roll it easier. Received rave reviews at the in-laws...I even took the leftovers form myself. Totally Awesome- just the right rich taste and texture.

Baked Applesauce

SIMPLY AWESOME! I used splenda for 1/2 sugar, but next time I'll use all splenda. I did use extra cinnamon since I really like it.

Pineapple Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
The cookie had great texture and fairly good taste. There seemed to have a slight taste of the baking soda. However, when you use a glaze you don't notice the hint of baking soda taste. I actually used 1 cup of pineapple/juice and added cinnamon which also helped with the taste. For the glaze, I used 3T pineapple juice and 1 1/2C of powdered sugar. You could half it if you don't want it on all cookies.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. I made these a Christmas time. This and D's Salsa (also on this site) were my absolute 2 favorite items at the party. Excellent.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
Suprisingly good. I did use alittle more brown sugar because I'm not that fond of the soy taste. I would make this again. I had zero time to marinate so I threw everything in a baking pan and cooked at 410 degrees. The top got a nice browning to it. I served with red mashed potatoes (w/ skins).

Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Not a big fan of this recipe. I followed it exactly as written. It was quick and easy. My husband liked it, but I didn't. I probably won't be making this again. sorry.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
Very pleasantly suprised. Great flavor & moist. I did thin down the light mayo w/ milk. I used Panko breadcrumbs. You may want to add the spices on the meat after the breadcrumbs because it sinks to the bottom and until your about out of crumbs is where all the spices are left in the bag. So some of the chicken was alittle more spicy than others. I used the ranch dipping sauce for the tenders/ strips I made. Will make again.

Soft Pineapple Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Very good and light (not necessarily calorie wise). I took them to a neighborhood get together and they went over very well. I had to bake them longer than the 8 to 10. I had a hard time telling when to take them out. I thought there was just a little something lacking maybe cinnamon.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
These turned out great. I had debated between this and another bruschetta recipe. I never did find the sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil. I went to about 10 different grocery stores in the area. Regardless, they still were excellent. Will make again.

Chrissy's Sweet 'n' Sour Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2002
Nice change of pace instead of green salads. Very good, but messy. I used extra virgin olive oil in place of the veg. oil. I also used red wine vinegar in place of the white. For a little extra added spice I threw in some celery seed.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Fairly easy recipe. Some time savers are using frozen veggies and 1/2 can diced potatoes and leftover chicken or turkey. I don't use quite as much butter as what's called for. I prefer this recipe to the others that used canned soups. A+ in my book! Definately in the winter rotation!
