About this Cook
My husband and I are owned by 4 four-legged children: Alex and Sophie, Hailey and Jasmine two cockers & two boxers). I'm trying to learn to cook healthier.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking Italian and American foods.
My cooking triumphs
I made the best cheesecake off this site. It was the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It was such a hit that I had to make it 3 additional times within a months time.
My cooking tragedies
I inevitably overcook pork loins and beef for BBQ in the crock pot.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw
Great slaw! I use splenda vs sugar, celery seed vs poppy, and 1/3 of the Miracle whip i substitute nonfat plain greek yogurt to keep down the calories. I make this at least a few times a month. It's great for lunches that don't have to be heated.

Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers
Really impressed with this recipe. I did add roasted red pepper to the patty mix. I also used seasoning salt on both sides. Pre-making the patties and putting them in fridge didn't really firm them up. But I planned to cooked them under the broiler anyway 16 min (turned half way). They may had fallen apart on the grill. Finally, I put them in a pita pocket with light mayo, spinach, and tomato. Great variation from the mundane turkey burger.
