White Chocolate Party Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
My coworker makes this every year and I call it White Chocolate Crack Mix. It is SO addicting and yummy, and I don't even like white chocolate that much. Consider yourself warned!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
Great recipe for a working mom. I make the sauce the night before and put it in the fridge. Then I cut up the chicken into chunks (more toddler friendly and cooks faster) and sprinkle w/ poultry seasoning. Then when I get home I sautee the chicken and then pour the sauce in and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. While that's going I cook the pasta. (I serve it over penne pasta which is easier for little fingers to pick up.) My husband LOVES this recipe, as does my toddler.

Cooking Light magazine's Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
I couldn't believe how easy this was and so yummy! I pounded the chicken breast to 1/4 thickness and covered with flour before dipping in egg. I also sauteed some minced garlic in the butter before browning the chicken breasts. I cooked the breasts for 2 minutes on each side and then placed them in a baking dish, the bottom or which was covered with sauce. Then I piled on the cheese and baked for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Served on a bed of spaghetti....super fast and good.

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2004
I made the pork chops exactly as the recipe called for. The used thick, boneless chops and they were wonderfully tender and perfectly cooked - the meat practically fell apart. The dish was good, however, I couldn't taste any mustard flavoring at all. Also, the chicken and rice soup didn't really do anything for me - you could also substitute cream of chicken or just cream of mushroom. I will never cook pork chops any other way but in the slow cooker!

Muenster Chicken and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2003
I was a little let-down after reading all the positive reviews. I thought the dish was okay. I didn't change anything in the recipe other than scaling it down to 3 breasts, using seasoned Italian breading and dipping chicken in egg before breading. I'd like to try it again in the future and here's what I'll do different: 1) I think I need to brown the chicken longer before baking. The breading was awfully soggy. 2) I'll sautee the mushrooms first in butter and garlic. I think they were too raw or something.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2003
Super-easy and very good. I wouldn't necessarily make this as a company dish, but for a quick evening meal, you can't beat this dish. Here are my changes and recommendations: 1) I doubled the Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. I also used Italian seasoned bread crumbs. 2) In the topping I also added a lot of spices - cayenne pepper, chili pepper, basil, etc. Just play around and add whatever suits your fancy. Have fun w/ spices. 3) The next time I make I will marinate the breasts in a light Italian dressing to make them even juicier. This is a great recipe for an easy weekday night dinner. I served w/ broccoli rice, bagged Caesar salad and rolls.

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2003
These are the easiest, most delicious biscuits I've ever made. They take NO time! My fiance said they taste just like Red Lobster. I forgot the parsley, but didn't miss it. I didn't have garlic salt so I just mixed some table salt w/ garlic powder. They will be a staple at our table in the future.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2003
These are so incredibly easy to make and so delicious! My fiance ate 4 of them! I didn't have garlic salt so I just mixed a 1/2 tsp table salt w/ 1/2 tsp garlic powder and used a pinch to dust each biscuit. They were perfect and my sweetie said they tasted just like Red Lobster. These will make many appearances on our table in the future.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

These are delicious and so incredibly easy to make! They take no time at all. I didn't have garlic salt, so I just mixed some table salt w/ garlic powder and sprinkled a little on. My fiance must have eaten 4 of them! These will be making lots of future appearances on our table!

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2003
Delicious and a lot easier than some of the other crab dip recipes here. I add about a cup of cheddar and lots of Old Bay seasoning to taste. I also sprikle Old Bay on the top when it come out of the oven. I just serve it in the baking dish, usually with bagel chips. My friends and fiance always ask me to make this and it's always eaten up. Thanks for sharing, Laurie!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
I thought these were great cookies but honestly, my husband likes cookies made from premade cookie dough rolls just as well. These required a TON of muscle-work to mix. I recommend using the biggest bowl you can possibly find. Next time I'm going to divide the ingredients and make it in 2 batches.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
Delicious! I followed prior suggestions and sauteed the mushrooms first. I seasoned the chicken w/ some Mrs. Dash. The next time I make this I'll use real bacon (I used low-fat this time...just not as yummy) and I'll buy preprepared honey mustard sauce from a jar. Surprisingly easy recipe!

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2002
My first cheesecake (actually my first ever non-mix cake!) and it was awesome. So incredibly easy to make. I used Chocolate Vanilla Wafers for the crust. Used mini chocolate chips for a garnish. This is not a really dense high cheesecake. It's lighter, which I prefer. Great recipe to make to impress company!

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2001
This dish is delicious! It takes some time to chop everything needed, but it was fun and the results were worth it. It's a colorful dish that was a big hit at yesterday's 4th of July BBQ. I packed the leftovers and added some chicken and I can't wait to eat it for lunch. I even used the olive oil dressing as a marinade. Wonderful dish!

Mom's Quick Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2001
I am a novice cook and this dish was delicious and SO easy to make. I cut down on the onion mix packets and just used 3 packets and will know better next time to go easier on the salt. I also added some red bell peppers to the sauce and it turned out thick and flavorful - will definitely make it again. Since I live alone I froze the rest but I'm looking forward to finally being able to invite friends over for dinner! I cooked it with a slow cooker, too, and it was delicious!
