Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
This recipe earned 5+ stars. I added potatoes instead of green beans, personal preference. Other than that I follwed the recipe as is. The pie wasn't too rich. The seasonings were well balanced. It definitely wasn't bland. My guinea pigs were a 5, 6, and 7 year old... along with a picky anti pot pie eating husband. I talked him into tasting the filling. He said, "Wow, I guess I'll be eating that instead of frozen pizza." Great recipe.

Easy and they turn out perfect every time. I have four kids and getting breakfast on the table is priority one. So this recipe is one of the kids favorite as well as mine. Thanks!

Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2013
I personally love it, as does my husband and four girls. The topping comes out well balanced, not too dry. The apples are not mushy. But I think choosing the right apple makes a big difference. As well as the added butter. Dessert is a treat, why make it healthy when it really shouldn't be. If you want healthy look else where.

Pumpkin-Pecan Cake Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I made exactly as the recipe instructed and it came out perfect. I didn't have any problems with too much filling or it squishing out the end etc as some posted. And had no problems with the cake cracking. Respectively... they must have rolled it too tight with the filling issue and baked too long for the cracked cake. My family absolutely loved it, including my very picky husband. The pumpkin roll looks just like the picture. We are having it for breakfast Thanksgiving morning... mmmm mmm!

Peanut Butter Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I was extremely impressed with this recipe. Reese's cups are my favorite.... OMG these taste exactly like them... very delicious! The scary part is they were way too easy to make. As several other reviewers mentioned chilling the dough after the little balls are made works perfect. Something I didn't read that made it easier for me. Second batch I chilled all the little balls and during that time is when I warmed up my chocolate chips in the microwave, that way it was timed perfect instead of the chocolate setting a bit before the balls were chilled. Very good recipe, thanks!

Granola Bars III

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Great Toddler Recipe. Most toddlers are picky, I think mine are exceptionally picky :) and they loved these. Not to mention you can add any type of dried fruit or nuts depending on they like and what is age appropriate. This recipe is full of good stuff... an extra egg like one reviewer stated not only makes them softer but adds extra protein along with the wheat germ which toddlers never seem to get enough of... :) Also an easy and fun recipe for your toddler to help dump ingredients and mix. My 3 year old is very proud of cooking her "bars". They're a great recovery snack for my teenager after hockey, we add extra wheat germ in her batch. And last but not least they taste great! Thanks for the geat recipe! They're a hit around our house and the hockey rinks!

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
If you like Sweet Meat, you'll love this recipe. This summer we've had these pork chops at least once a week. My husband loves them. They heat up well the next day in his lunch. We cook them on the grill so easy clean up and I get a break. Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
I've tried many Quiche's, this the first I've cooked. The recipe is easy to follow. And if you follow it correctly turns out perfect. Important to look at the ingredients to see that it is the type of Quiche you want to make. Perfect for the husband that's a meat eater! Very Rich and Delicious! Without the crust and very few modifications would be a very good Atkins meal. High protein low carb.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
WOW!!! I am so impressed. I was extremely nervous about this recipe when I started mixing the batter and it seemed closer to cookie dough... very thick. I've tried many other recipes in the past and the batter was all similar in consistency... like a cake batter. And that explains why none of them were to die for like this one. Fantastic! These muffins looked like they came from a fancy coffee shop and tasted like they came from your Grandma's kitchen. Nice rounded tops, crunchy, blueberries were set well. Not too sweet. I did as several others suggested and exchanged the white sugar for brown sugar in the topping. The topping makes them taste gourmet. Without… taste like your traditional but to die for blueberry muffin… My compliments!

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I've never cooked a rib roast before and like other reviews I was nervous about the cooking instructions. Who wants a $70 hunk of leather to gnaw on… But I trusted the recipe and the rib roast turned out absolutely delicious. Our roast had 3 bones and was 7 lbs, our butcher recommended a cut near the loin instead of the chuck, he said it is a more tender and tasty cut. I would have to agree. The roast temperature was 135 and came out a true medium rare. I did add extra garlic and a mix of Italian style seasonings... we are garlic lovers...Fantastic recipe! I'll definitely use this recipe in the future. Our family decided it will be our new Christmas dinner tradition. Thanks!
