Apple Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2013
Yum! Great way to use up some apples. I used 1 stick of butter as I am a farm girl :) I chose pecans over walnuts. I also used some apple pie spice, about a 1/8tsp. I upped the oats to 1.5 cups. Cookies rise nicely, kind of like a little apple crisp in a cookie. Bake a bit longer if you like more crunch. I topped mine with cinnamon chips and crushed graham cracker crumbs. Great Recipe Laura, thank you for sharing! These are going to be a favorite, I can tell already! These are really fail proof, change the spices or topping to your personal liking but the recipe itself is perfect!

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
Great Recipe--Thank you for sharing. Followed the directions except for adding 1 tsp. Apple Pie Spice. I used oil as per recipe and found them to be very moist. I topped them with pecans, brown sugar, and some oats before baking....yum...came out superb. I also added some cinnamon chips to the batter for flavor. I used Raisin Bran Crunch cereal as that is what I had on hand. I used foil muffin cups and sprayed them lightly to prevent sticking...they popped right out of the foil cups! This recipe is a keeper!

Made these for the first time. They are wonderful and so easy to make. I used China Cinnamon(Tung Hing) and they had a nice cinnamon flavor. This cookie will be on my holiday Top Ten Cookie List....my family will be grateful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Tuna Pockets

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
These are super fast to make and very filling. They are great for those nights when you don't know what to make or for a fast supper. Sometimes I add sliced black olives to the tuna. We always have leftovers and when we reheat them they are really good the second time too!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Fabulous! For years of making boxed banana bread I decided to go from scratch and chose this recipe. I used suggestions of other reviewers and used 2 sticks of butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, a dash cinnamon and no chocolate chips. Everything else i kept the same. It was moist and delicious. Great recipe! Thank you for sharing. I will be making more of this for sure. I give it 5 stars! Update: I have made this recipe time and again for family gatherings and people say it's the best banana bread they have ever had. This recipe is a keeper.

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This is a great recipe! Whenever we have a family party I am always asked to bring this dip. I use a nice fresh pumpernickel-rye bread. The hardest part is getting the water out of the spinach and best way is to use your hands and squeeze it out. I usually put all ingredients in my KitchenAid so it's all mixed uniformly. The water chestnuts make the extra crunch and are a must! I have used both regular sour cream and reduced fat. I find that Breakstone's brand reduced fat sour cream is the best--you cannot even tell that it's not full fat sour cream. We don't have Knorr soup mix at our local stores anymore so I always use the Lipton Onion Soup mix. It still turns out great I promise! Great easy recipe. It's always the bomb at parties. Thank you for sharing this one-I give it five stars!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
I have made this recipe twice. Both times it turned out fantastic. I did reduce sugar as others suggested and used 2 cups of frozen blueberries and i also used walnuts. The batter is very thick going into the pan but i used lots of cooking spray. This is the ultimate blueberry coffee cake and super easy.
