Caramel Bars

Delicious!! I used parchment paper so they wouldn't stick to the pan. I also doubled the flour/oats mixture as suggested by other reviews and I'm glad I did. I only had 1 c of oats so I just doubled the flour and added a little more butter. I also only had whole milk instead of heavy cream, but I just used about 3 tablespoons instead. I made the recipe on a whim knowing I was making several modifications and they turned out AMAZING! My husband can't stop eating them!

Sangria! Sangria!

So good! I didn't have frozen lemonade OR enough lemons to get 1/4c of lemon juice so I just juiced 1/2c or so of lime juice and added 2 Tablespoons sugar to make it sweet like frozen limeade. I opted out of adding the extra sugar to sweeten at the end and used a sprite before serving. I let it sit 4 hrs and had to taste. Delicious!! Will be making this again;)

Blackberry Pie I

Delicious! It turned out so beautiful and tasted amazing! I tried to cook this pie at 350 with another pie, but realized it wasn't getting hot enough to thicken the juices. I recommend cooking at 375...just like the recipe says!!

Citrus Turkey Brine

Amazing! Made the turkey fork tender and juicy! We stuff the bird with dressing and I was worried it would make the dressing and drippings (for gravy) to salty, but it did not at all. SO amazing! I was skeptical if brining really made a difference - but it was totally worth the effort! I also made a herb butter and rubbed it under the skin before cooking (no salt).

Grandma Johnson's Scones

AMAZING!!!! Made them for Thanksgiving and everyone loved them! I used dried berries instead of raisins. Also, I cut the butter in with my food processor which saved time. The bottoms turned brown quickly so I touched the tops to see if they were finished and it sunk in like raw batter. I was worried but the firmed up as they cooled. I should mention I am not an experienced baker so I wasn't aware that was possible:)

Pecan Pie V

I have never had pecan pie without corn syrup, so this pie had a very different texture - but it was delicious!!! I beat my eggs too much and the foam made a crust on top of the pie that looked a bit strange. I also added a tablespoon of brandy for a kick.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Delicious and simple! The sauce is VERY tangy, but the butter gives it a rich flavor that complements the chicken well. It literally took me 30 minutes to make!!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This is a 5 star all the way!! It was so easy and delicious! I modified the recipe a little by using potato instead of celery, and doubling the liquid as several people suggested:) I made it extra special by covering the pie with puff pastry dough instead of the regular pie crust. I simply wove the dough together and brushed it with a little egg wash, then placed it on top of the pie for the last 15 min. of baking. It looked great and tasted even better! Can't wait to make it again!!
