My favorite things to cook
I love to cook comfort foods, and my 12 yr. old daughter loves to help. I love to bake for other people, but don't actually like sweets myself. I've worked in restaurants for 14yrs. now, serving, cooking and bartending. Always looking for new recipes that everyone will love.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always made sausage gravy and biscuits, now my daughter and I do too, on lazy Saturday mornings. And No-Bake cookies are the hands down favorite in our house. My daughter's now really taking an interest in cooking, so hopefully she'll be a wonderful cook soon too!
My cooking triumphs
Making a whole Thanksgiving dinner by myself, and it was delicious. My pumpkin cheescake always goes over well too.
My cooking tragedies
I did make some awful gravies and cheese sauces in my life, but I've got both of those down pat now, no disasters in a long time! Hope fully it'll stay that way.

Modenese Pork Chops
Definitely use fresh rosemary! These were delicious, I served them with the orzo and rice from allrecipes too. Everything was wonderful!

Key West Chicken
Absolutely delicious!! I didn't change anything, but doubled the recipe, because it was so tasty the first time I made it. Don't change a thing, just make sure to make a lot of it, this disappears fast!!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts
These are the best brussels sprouts ever! Not bitter at all, for those of you that were worried about that. They melt in your mouth, absolutely delicious. I do roast them longer, but only because the dark brown parts are the very best part, and I like them to all taste like the very best part! I have added garlic, both fresh and powder, and they're also delicious that way too! I have some in the oven right now, and I can't wait to eat 'em. Enjoy!!!
