Sweet Dinner Rolls

I made these for Christmas dinner and they were a hit with everybody! I also used my Kitchenaid instead of a bread machine, as others have. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Creamy Chicken Rice Soup

This was so yummy! I used brown rice and added some herbs. It came out a bit thick so next time I think I'll use a little less rice and more liquid.

Children's Gingerbread House

We've always bought those kits to make gingerbread houses at Christmas but I'll never do that again - they might as well be cardboard compared to these. So tasty and a lot more fun.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Awesome awesome awesome! I thought the recipe on the box of baker's chocolate was the best but these were even better. My daughter took them to school with her and her classmates gave them rave reviews.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Tried this today and family loved it! I skipped the nuts & the lemon zest since I didn't have any. Next time I'll have to make a double batch - we ate this batch too fast!

Vegan Lemon Poppy Scones

These were so yummy. I followed other reviewers advise and cut the amount of liquid. I also added more lemon zest since I wanted them to be LEMONY. I need to make them again soon since I gave most of them to my mom for Mother's Day (after taste testing one first, of course).

Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake

Cake was very yummy. I liked the cinnamon with the cocoa, gave it a unique flavor. I didn't make the icing to go with it as I was baking it for my daughter's birthday but definitely will next time as the cake tasted better before I frosted it with a premade frosting.

Red Velvet Cake

I've never made (nor ate) red velvet cake before but I've always been intrigued. This turned out real yummy and pretty easy. I could only find gel food coloring so mixing it with the cocoa didn't really accomplish anything. I did end up with a lovely shade of red - perfect for Valentine's Day. I made cupcakes and some may have baked a little too long and were drier than they should have been. The icing is amazing! I'll be using that part of this recipe the most!

Peach Bread

I used fresh peaches from my backyard, as well as less sugar and oil since they were sweet and very wet on their own. Awesome! Every my picky youngest who hates trying new things gobbled down a muffin like there was no tomorrow (I only had one loaf pan so baked one loaf and did the rest in muffin cups). I know I'll be doing this again because my tree has lots more peaches!

Springtime Strawberry Bars

I used my mom's homemade guava jelly in place of strawberry and cut back on the sugar. I also skipped the almonds as I didn't have any. My 11-year-old taste tester proclaimed them yummy.

Diana's Guinness Chocolate Cake with Guinness Chocolate Icing

My cake came out a little crumbly but those crumbs are so moist and delicious. I tried cutting the amount of butter and used a chocolate stout so maybe the decreased fat made my cake fall apart. But it's so good me & the family don' even care. I didn't even frost this cake it's so good on its own.
