Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2011
Fantastic! The recipe says it makes 24 but I made it exactly as is (twice) and made 40 - 43 both times. They are gooey and chewy and they stay that way -- they don't harden! A quick zap in the microwave they're hot and gooey again :-) VERY GOOD!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
These were delicious and much healthier than buying fries. Gave it four starts because, like others, the cooking time/temp needed to be 30 min at 400 and flipped half-way through. And add some salt. But whew they were yummy!

Creamy Shrimp and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
This was fantastic! I'm giving it 4 stars because the shrimp needed to be put in the last 5 minutes, NOT cooked with the oinions. Also used cream of shrimp in place of cream of chicken. Easy, delicious, and healthy! What more can you ask?

Tender Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
These were really great! My husband LOVED them (he's a BIG fan of chicken nuggets). They were fast, easy, and best of all, HEALTHY!!! No butter, NO grease - how fantastic is that!?! I did like others suggested - I dipped the chicken in an egg and about a Tbl of ranch with a smidgen of milk mixed in. It stuck flawlessly and they all came out with a crunch coating - no "missing" skins!

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
DELICIOUS! I gave it 4 stars simply because I only used 1/3 cup fresh basil and that was enough. 1 cup seems really excessive and a waste of basil. Put it on toasted hamburger buns from our local bakery. This recipe makes 8 sandwiches! Perfection!

Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
FIVE STARS!!! This was fantastic! VERY creamy and flavorful without being spicy (for those who can't handle much spice). I also used the cream of chicken can to measure the water. Forgot to add the paprika but it didn't matter... it was FANTASTIC!

Chocolate-Covered OREO Cookie Cake

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
This is, HANDS DOWN, the BEST cake you will ever make! I am not a chocolate lover, but holy wow this is awesome. The flavors blend together to create pure perfection. Aside from all of that amazingness, it's incredibly easy to prepare and FUN for the kids help with! I made this for my husband's birthday, who loves Oreos, and am making it again today for my Dad's birthday, who loves chocolate. Can't go wrong!

Key West Chicken

This is awesome. Pure and simple! I like to baste it with the left over marinade as I'm grilling. It's tangy yet sweet and easy!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
The recipe was absolutely above and beyond anything! I made my own whipped cream (16oz heavy cream, whipped, then stir in 1 c sifted confectioners sugar -- enough for the 2 pies). I also topped them with chopped Reeses Peanut Butter cups (6 cups per pie - covered the whole top). A tip: Freeze it, then let it thaw somewhat. It's WAY too hard to eat right out of the freezer.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This is an excellent soup! I should add that I calculated all of my ingredients (which was everything except the bay leaf) and it came out to 152 cal, 4 g fat, 12 g carb, and 18 g protein per serving (about 2 cups). I'm on a very strict diet and watch my calorie/fat/carb/protein ratio like a hawk. This is an awesome soup that is pretty much an "all in one" meal!

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
I made this recipe exactly as is - including Frank's Red Hot (middle) sauce. They were INCREDIBLE! They were crispy and delicious! I'm making them again tonight and I think I'll roll them in some more Franks after they're cooled and done because I like them a little more spicey. But an awesome recipe - EASY and cheap - a perfect meal!

Spicy Lime Grilled Shrimp

Way, WAY too much cajun seasoning! So, if you cut that into thirds you should be good.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

So good and so easy! I made it as is but doubled it. It made about a dozen huge (a little smaller than my whole hand) cookies. You can't mike them bite size because they will crumble.

Wow - hands down the BEST chicken and dumplings recipe! It was easy, delicious, and best of all - CHEAP! For 4 big meal-size servings it probably coast $5. I made the recipe exactly as is and it was beyond perfect.

Black Bean And Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This didn't work for us at all. Way too much lime - it was overwhelming. I'd scale it down to 1/4 cup, if even that. Maybe more like 1/8 cup. Also, I thought it was really strange to use frozen corn. I'd recommend thawing it out first. It just had a weird texture. We ended up eating it with chips just so I wouldn't throw it away.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These were great and very easy to make! I followed the advice of past reviewers and replaced the water with orange juice. I didn't find the dough hard to work with at all. Hubby LOVES them and isn't a gingerbread cookie fan

Jackie's Sausage Soup

I made the recipe exactly as is and this soup is AMAZING! It has so many flavors and is such mind blowing. I highly recommend making this soup x 3 and having for left overs or give some to your friends. The recipe says 8 servings and it really does make 8 big servings, FYI.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Absolutely perfect as-is! If you want to add a few more spices you can, but it really is incredible as is. Very, very delicious! Not overly cheesy, just the right amount of flavor, and a little crunchy on the edges!

Joanne's Super Hero Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
Really great sandwich! I couldn't find the Italian round loafs at my local bakery so I made my own (google "italian crusty loaf" - I used the first recipe that came up). The oil/vinegar mixture is awesome. I doubled the recipe but only used 1/2 cup chopped olives and that was plenty.
