I love food more than I love the actual act of eating, so I can eat what I please in moderation without gaining weight. I adore pastries, especially on my trip to Sicily - they are the BEST! As a Christian I cannot wait to try the food in heaven! Sounds weird, but think about it ...

Lasagna, anything with my fresh homegrown herbs, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, brownies,anything in a crockpot ... hard to say.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My late mother's Christmas cookies - cream cheese cookies, lilies, biscotti and even cucidatti (which I only like without the orange rind).
My cooking triumphs
My lasagna is excellent, heavy on the ricotta and generous with the other cheeses!
My cooking tragedies
Many Thanksgivings ago I was out of baking powder so cavalierly substituted baking soda in my biscuits. Thought there appearance was worthy of a magazine spread, they tasted very metallic and we ended up throwing them out. My sister's family will never let me forget this disaster!
