I adjusted this primarily because I did not have the exact ingrediants on hand. 1) I did not boil the peppers before hand, and thus, they baked to the green pepper version of "al dente," which is fine, because I dislike the mushy quality of most stuffed peppers. 2} Filling: browned a pound of ground turkey, then added two fresh tomatoes, salt, peper, smoked paprika to taste, and 1/4 cup of rhubarb ketchup (the recipe is on all recipes, look 'er up!) and enough water to let the tomatoes cook down into a sauce, cooked it off. Used pree-cooked rice, added after the sauce was finished.Topped with colby cheese. 3} Substituted about 2.5 cups of spaghetti sauce andf thinned with a little more water to gravy consistency for baking. Because I changed the recipe so much, I only gave this one a 4-star rating as I didn't find out what the actual recipe was like. However, as a guide for getting good stuffed peppers with what you have on hand, this recipe was perfect. I never made stuffed peppers before and these came out great, thanks to the guidance in this recipe.
