This recipe is awesome. Made it today to take to family reunion. Everybody loved it. My husband told me not to lose this recipe. My husband is an avid hunter, so instead of using ground beef, I used ground mule deer and ground antelope. Thanks for this great recipe. *update* I made this again today for a funeral. I made it to yield 12 servings. Although the recipe said to use 3 lbs. of ground beef I used 5 lbs. Only because I thought it was too soupy for 3 lbs. Turned out perfect. I made it as it said then put it in the crockpot on low.

I only gave this a 4 because although it was very easy, it wasn't as thick as I like. So, to make it better and a little easier, I used 4 cans of diced potatoes and then made a roux with 1/2 cup butter and 6 T. flour cooked together, then added it to the soup. It made it as thick as I like it and delicious!!!!

I fixed this today. Thought it was good. The only thing I did different was use the hash browns with cheese already in it. I think I will add more of the hash browns next time and add a little salt or some kind of seasoning. It is a little bland. But I don't like alot of seasonings anyway. Overall it was good and I will fix it again.
