Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Recipe sounded good and has numerous positive reviews, but my family hated it. I made the recipe exactly as shown. The more expensive gourmet alfredo sauces sold in jars at the grocery store taste much better than this.

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Very good no-egg/no-cook base recipe. Here is a modification idea that I tried and had great results with: replace some of the 1/2 and 1/2 with flavored coffee creamer and adjust the sugar accordingly - you'll use maybe half the called for sugar. I found a buttercream flavored creamer to use - the ice cream was delicious!

Orange Glorious I

Yummy! I doubled the recipe to handle my crew, but made it exactly as shown otherwise. My kids said it tasted like a Fanta orange soda with vanilla ice cream in it.

Easy to make and turned out well. Flavor is just okay. Needed more salt to bring it up a bit on the flavor scale. This would be good served with a main dish with some sauce to it.

Chocolate Cream Pie II

The best chocolate pie I've made. I prepared recipe as directed, but I did make meringue to put over the top. Baked at 425 for 5 minutes to set/brown the meringue, then transferred to fridge to cool. My crew loved it!

Lemon-Sesame Asparagus

Really good and simple recipe. I messed up and without thinking added poppy seeds instead of sesame seeds - realized what I was doing while I was adding them and stopped at about a tablespoon. It had a good, gentle flavor with the poppy seeds. Toasted sesame seeds would be delicious, I'm sure. I'll be making this again - with the sesame seeds - soon.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

My husband declared this to be the best shredded roast for sandwiches he's ever had! I used one box of beef stock and doubled all the other ingredients, as per some other reviewer comments. Served on toasted sub rolls with melted muenster cheese. Delicious!
