Red Lentil Curry

Very Good!! made almost exactly as directed, however I made it a couple of hours prior to serving and then reheated, mostly so that the flavors would have a bit of time. - also added 1 more tsp of salt, and used pwdr ginger as I had no fresh stuff on hand. Used Red curry paste and a 6oz can of tomato paste with 6oz of water added to it. Served it on Basmati Rice and we all enjoyed it.... even my 2 yr old! :)

Balsamic Glazed Carrots

This is our new favorite!! I didn't have "baby" carrots, so used regular ones and cut into semi-thin pieces. Par-boiled in water and then did the rest just as in the recipe!! Awesome! My non-carrot eaters now want these again and again! Thanks for the recipe....

Pakistani Lentil Curry

Easily made however it's not as I imagined it would be. Very soupy, runny. -not as pictured. :( I've had read that Pakistani Lentil Curry is runnier than others but I was still surprised how it turned out. I even used only 3 cups of water (for 2 servings).**It seemed to have a watery taste, and was very runny....maybe if you just cook the lentils instead of soaking first as in step 1 it might be better. The package of lentils I had said that they did not need to be soaked, however I did as the recipe called for and soaked for about 3 hours. Maybe if I hadn't then they would have soaked up more as they cooked, thus making a thicker/or less runny finished product.... I also added 1 more tsp of salt for flavor after it was all finished. I MAY make this again, doing the changes that I have thought of, however the rating is really for the recipe just as it is. I really didn't change much.

Easy Chocolate Trifle

Awesome chocolaty taste....and simple to make! This was a huge hit at my daughter's birthday party. I used real whipping cream, not whipped topping and spread it smooth on top. Used a decorator's bag with frosting and wrote her name on it. Then sprinkled the rest of the chocolate toffee pieces around the edge. Lovely! We'll be repeating this again sometime soon I'm sure...

Sour Cream Potato Rolls

Awesome! Just what I was looking for :) I didn't have mace, so I just left it out. used 3/4 cup whole wheat flour, 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour and added 2 tsps of baking powder (adding the baking powder makes it similar to bread flour- look online for exact measurement substitutions but this is what I did) I placed all 18 rolls in a 9" x 13" pan and let rise and baked that way. They turned out as "pull-apart" rolls. Very nice and moist even after being frozen and thawed again. Thanks Carol!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

This is the BEST!! I have never made sweet potato anything, but have eaten it a few times. My husband was very hesitant to have me try it for Thanksgiving as he "doesn't like Sweet Potatoes". I made it with only 2 Small variations and it was awesome! My husband had 3 servings of it!! :) Change#1... cut the sugar in half. Change#2... used chopped walnuts instead of pecans as that's what I had on hand. Thanks for the recipe. It'll be a standard now at our place.

Cracker Jack Cookies I

The Best! I grew up on cracker jack cookies baked on a saturday morning for the coming week~ having lost my mum's recipe, I found this one. By making just a few changes I have the memories of my childhood in a cookie tin! :) I used corn flakes instead of the crisp rice cereal and raisins instead of the peanuts. Bake up a batch and bake. I put them in the freezer and then take out just how many the kids and I need to go with our tea for the day! Thanks for helping me share my childhood with my kids!

The Best Unbaked Cherry Cheesecake Ever

Very Tasty and quite easy! The crust however seemed to be kind of crumbly and maybe not quite enough. I think I'll make another half again of the crumb crust next time.
