Retired mom of 2 and now an empty-nester trying to adjust to cooking for 1, which makes for lots and lots of leftovers in the freezer.
My favorite things to cook
Soups in the winter and salads in the summer. I have a small garden that usually produces too many tomatoes (if there is such a thing), so my freezer keeps those beauties ready to use all winter long.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My children (adults now, but still my children) always look forward to The Big Breakfast on Christmas and Easter, and the usual feast on Thanksgiving Day.
My cooking triumphs
World's best golombkis and kapusta.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make one of the most popular "overnight breakfast casserole" 2 years ago for Christmas morning. I almost always cook with fresh ingredients and use very few processed foods. The breakfast casserole (which featured frozen hash-browns) was not at all well-received, but we had a good laugh about it.
