Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
My family LOVED this soup. I over baked the potatoes a bit and left the skin on them and it was still very good. Next time i'll take the skin off, I found that I didn't enjoy the skin as much when I ate it.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I thought this recipe was EASY and Delicious! I didn't fill the pie up very full though. Maybe next time I will double the recipe. For as long as I had it in, my crust got very dark though. Eitherway it was devoured by all!

My family loved these for Christmas eve. If they cook too long the brown sugar gets black but they were still delicious!

Chicken French - Rochester, NY Style

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I thought this was a very good version on chicken french. Living in Rochester there are slight variations to the recipe and taste but for the most part this hit the nail on the head. I would suggest using a white wine sauce if you want a lighter sauce. Also possibly doubling up on the sauce since there isn't alot. Next time I make this, I will be sure to make a double amount of sauce. Several people also take fresh lemons, slice them and saute them in the sauce as well for a more Lemony flavor. Overall, Great recipe. I also suggest pounding out the chicken. the thinner it is, the better for this recipe. At least in my opinion!

Bavarian Apple Torte

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This recipe was great! Just what I was looking for. Everyone who tried it, absolutely loved it. I made two but on had One spring-form pan, so i used a regular pie plate for the 2nd torte. I have to say the one in the Regular pie plate was better. The crust was softer. So depending on if you want a soft crust, i would suggest using a pie plate, if you want a harder crust, use the springform pan. Happy Baking!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
These were a huge hit. I had to use a different type of baking apple which was a bit softer than a granny smith. Next time i'll make sure I get granny smith apples because i did think the apple kind of disappeared inside because it was a softer apple. I used gingerale instead of mountain dew - i imagine using mountain dew would make it even sweeter but i thought it was sweet enough already. Overall a great recipe and i will make it again & again!

I didn't really care for these meatballs. I found them too cheesy and kind of bland.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
These bars are the best! Everyone says they are better than Reese's PB Cups. I was skeptical because im not a Huge fan of graham crackers but they were amazing! I didnt make any changes to the recipe. The Peanut butter this recipe calls for equaled one small jar of PB and the choc chips equal a little less than one bag. I will be making these again. possibly for my christmas cookie trays.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I found this recipe when i was searching for a sweet cream cheese to put on beligan waffles. I decided to try to recipe as well as use it on my beligan waffles (w/ strawberries all over it!) and its delicious for both! Any time i've made this I add any fruit spread or jelly I have in the fridge to make it even tastier. I spoon on 3 lines of the jelly before putting on the second layer of cresent rolls. Always a hit at family brunches!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
With such high ratings from so many people I thought I would love this recipe. I think I prefer baked rice pudding for a few reasons - its not as rich as this was and the eggs started to cook even though I stirred it as soon as I put it in. I found it really gross to get a few pieces of cooked egg while eating it. It was a very good recipe, but I won't make it again.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This was really good. This will definately be made again. I did make a few changes. I chopped up the garlic and added an onion. I didn't have enough Heavy cream so I used sour cream and milk also. Someone else had suggested it. I also added Ham between the layers. I forgot the butter while I was putting it together, but didn't seem to make a difference.

Tomato Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Very Good! Easy to make. The only thing I did differently was I added 4 cloves of garlic because I love it and didn't use crushed red pepper because I forgot to buy some. My friend was hesitant to try because she hates vodka, but she loved it, and couldn't stop talking about how good it is. I will definately make it again.
