My favorite things to cook
I used to only cook healthy (whole grains, lentils, etc.) until I moved down to the dirty South. Now I've created a balance of the two extremes--adding a little bit of Southern flair and Cajun flavor to my old recipes.

lefse, even if we cheat a little when we make it.
My cooking triumphs
dancing (literally) around my kitchen & pulling together meals out of the thin air. dinner is my meal and i love trying to show my creativity and personality.
My cooking tragedies
This time that I made a checkerboard layer cake and I was super careful and rotated the layers in the oven to make sure they were baking evenly and I put the first two together and it was awesome and then somehow the third layer was pure liquid with a crusty top and smashed the entire cake with it's liquidy grossness.
