New York Italian Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
So close to the dough of my dreams (from Boston, missing the pizza!). The first time I made this, I only left it in the fridge for an hour.. it stretched out wonderfully, flavor was good, and texture spot on! The second time, I left it in the fridge overnight and some of the next day.. flavor was really good, texture chewy and thin and bubbly.. but I couldn't get it to stretch out very well. Definitely going back for more tries.

1st time, made w/ froz blueberries and followed recipe to a T. Bland in taste, not a great presentation. Second time, subbed 1/2 c br sugar, added 2sp cinn, 2 tsp vanilla and ground black pepper. Baked in jumbo muffin tins (buttered, 3/4 full) and yummmmmy

Chocolate Raisin Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
No problems with the consistency of batter, but overall taste was boringly bland. More... salt? spices? molasses? something. Won't make these again.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
I made no changes to the recipe and used my bread machine. Flour was pretty easy to roll out. I put a baking sheet in the bottom of the oven and threw in a cup of water right before adding the bread, for steam. The bread was moist and tender and great, consistency-wise. The flavor was good, but kind of plain/bland.

Makhani Chicken (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
This always turns out well - and the chicken melts like butter in your mouth. I never strain the yogurt, seems fine to me. I did try making this with tofu (followed chicken instrux to a T), but it was pretty boring. Won't repeat, even for a veg. crowd.

Una's Cheddar Beer Bread (bread machine dough cycle)

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
Fantastic! I too used 3 cups of regular flour and baking powder/salt/sugar as suggested below. Perfect hearty bread, almost cakey. I had planned to make sandwiches with it, but the bread itself is so flavorful (depending on what you add) and dense that it really can stand alone. A bit of cream cheese on a basil loaf is yummy. Can't wait to try all sorts of sweet & savory ideas...
