Great salad BUT seriously reduce the sugar!!! just made it following the recipe to a T... And its far too sweet, going to have to try rinsing some of the dressing off and start again with the dressing.

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
I can't count how many times I've made this, it really has become a staple during bbq season, the only changes I've made is to mix Italian dressing with a smokey bbq sauce, baste more bbq sauce during grilling and if i remember i roast the peppers in the oven to soften them a bit b4 filling them

Reuben-Pierogie Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
Was very unimpressed way to much topping for the amount of perogies. The swiss, sauerkraut, dressing and corner beef make a salty gross tangy mess. Maybe there's a good recipe in there somewhere but for me its not worth trying to figure it out

Sally's Spinach Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly and believe me I am definitly not opposed to rich foods but there was WAAAAY too much butter and sour cream, I ended up with soggy potatoe goop and I made sure to use 6 decent sized potatoes and added an extra potatoe!and then the extra grease from the melted cheese on top was just too much!!! there is a good recipe in here though just make sure to add a little of the butter and sour cream at a time.. to suit your taste.

Lemon Coconut Squares

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
I did as others had suggested, reduced sugar to 1 1/4C, increased lemon juice to just under 3/4C, added yellow food colouring and 1tsp of zest to filling, also baked for 15min before adding coconut. They came out pretty good, I felt there was something not quite right with the crust though... it dominated the flavour of the square a bit too much! I made this along with another lemon bar recipe from this site (Easy Lemon Bars) for a party and this one got the least votes. Still an above average recipe though.

Easy Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
very good, so rich and creamy, I tried some suggestions others had made, I mixed cake mix and added the pudding mix, I doubled the filling and used about 5tbsp of lemon juice in total and about 1tsp of zest, and some yellow food colouing to the filling. I made this and another lemon bar recipe from this site (Lemon Coconut Squares) at the same time to see which everyone prefered and this got the most votes with everyone also commenting on how great the crust was

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
sooo tastey, but I did make some changes... added an extra potatoe and doubled the bacon (wich I mixed right into the soup), did 2 cups chicken broth 1 cup vegetable broth, used 1/2 the basil, added 1tbsp of flour, change 1 cup half and half to 1/2 cup half & half and 1/2 cup sour cream, also added 1/2 can of condensed cream of cheddar soup with the cream mix and added 1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard powder after adding cream mix. It turned out great which was a surprise cause it was the first soup Ive ever attempted to make, Thank you for sharing!
