Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: May 18, 2007
This was the first meat loaf I've ever made, and my husband and I absolutely loved it! I used Stove Top dressing mix for the seasoned bread crumbs and baked it at 325 for 90 minutes instead, and I also decreased the mustard by 1/2 and omitted the sugar. Best meat loaf I've ever had! Thanks!

Oatmeal Bread I

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
I've made this recipe twice, the first time I followed instructions and it was really good, but after a few tweaks it was GREAT! I used half all-purpose flour and half whole wheat, and I used 3/4 cup rolled oats and 1/2 cup of steel cut oats for more texture. I also used slightly less molassas and substituted honey instead. DELICIOUS!!!

Fresh Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
I use the two cups that are recommended (one of fresh white, another of super sweet frozen), but in lieu of adding butter (seems unnecessary) I stir in a cup of freshly grated cheddar cheese. It makes for a deliciously cheesy, salty-sweet corn pudding that my family loves!

Campbell's® Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
A tad on the bland side, but nonetheless still a great basic recipe. Next time I might add different veggies (mushrooms, celery) or cheese, or decrease the peas.

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
Wow, I had no idea it could be so simple to make a cake look that flawless! I made two chocolate cakes and iced one as the recipe suggests (though I omitted the rum and added a hint of vanilla instead) which was a HUGE hit, and I made another version of this recipe using oat milk instead of heavy cream (for a vegan friend) and it was PERFECT! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Chicken and Dumplings IV

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
A fantastic "down home" chicken and dumplings recipe that's easy enough for a beginner! At the suggestion of other reviews, I added a quarter teaspoon of sage and thyme and omitted the parsley... it turned out perfectly!

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and topped with a cream cheese frosting... heanevly! And I was able to make my vegan mom a plain cupcake using just the chocolate cake base-- she loved it!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
AMAZING! Super peanut buttery and easy to make! I used all natural peanut butter so as not to have an overpowering sweetness, and they were perfect! My husband didn't like them (he likes more of a bland flavor) but that just means more for me!

Ham and Swiss Casserole

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
Delicious! I used sauteed mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup instead of the peppers and cream of celery, and cooked the onion with the mushrooms to soften them up some before baking. Great recipe!

Easy Sour Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
I've made this recipe for my husband several times and it never lasts longer than a day! Maybe my shortbread crust tins are small, but it produces about a cup more filling than needed. Other than that, this recipe is perfect!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
Oh. My. God. I'll never be able to eat this in a restaurant again! Upon others' suggestions, I marinated my beef in red wine (I used a cabernet) rather than adding white, and I used a LOT of fresh mushrooms in lieu of the canned. I also added quite a bit of garlic, which really made it all come together. Thank you so much!

Stovetop Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
Wonderful! I followed some reviews' suggestions and added the tiniest bit of vanilla, cinnamon, and salt as well as decreasing the butter to 2 tbsp. Also, I didn't have any cranberries, so I increased the almond slivers to 3/4 cup. Hands down, the best granola I've had in my life!

Who doesn't love classic cookies? For a new twist on a familiar favorite, substitute white chocolate chips and add chopped macadamia nuts. Mmmmm...

Cream Cheese Frosting II

BEST FROSTING EVER! Anyone who says differently either made it incorrectly in some way or just doesn't appreciate what a true cream cheese frosting should taste like.

So yummy! I substitute a blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry mix for the plain strawberries and it's super delicious!
