Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
This is a great side dish. Just the right flavor, I did use a splash of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. It did the trick for me and my dinner guest. Everybody’s plate was clean and so was the serving plate it was on. Thanks Dartanyun.

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
I doubled everything in the recipe to have more marinade for the chicken. I also cooked the chicken 3 mins. more per side because of the thickness of the chicken breast. It was outstanding. The chicken was both flavorful and juicy. I will definitely do this again, though I will let it marinate over night the next time to bring out the flavor that much more.

Ranch Burgers

Reviewed: May 29, 2007
I followed the recipe's measurements for 4 people. We couldn't really taste the ranch dressing mix, though the burgers were very moist and tasty. If I make it again I'll use the entire packet of dressing mix.

Artichoke Crostini

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
Great starter, as well as with the balance of the meal too. I'd actually give it a 4 1/2 star if I could. I improvised a bit, since I already had marinated artichokes on hand; would use marinated again though. The next time I make it, I'll turn it into my own five star starter by topping it with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Shrimp with Ginger and Snow Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
This was very tasty. I did not have fresh ginger so I used ground ginger (only ½ teaspoon). Wish I had the fresh ginger. When I make it again, which I well, fresh ginger is on the list. I served it with Spinach and Red Pepper Couscous which you can find on this site, lovely combination. PS don’t forget the wine:)

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
My partner, originally from St. Louis, has talked about this dish forever, since he's never been able to find them any place else. Lo and behold I decided to Google it, and where should I discover the recipe, other than at this site, one of my faves. Anyway, we both agree with the majority of comments -- great dish, but it would be even better with meat-filled ravioli. I also double-breaded them, which is a must-do too. Once done I placed them in a casserole dish, sprinkled with freshly grated parmesan and let warm in the oven for @ 5 minutes. I will definitely make this again. The next time I will likely follow Chef Tara's suggestion and chill for a few minutes after the initial breading, before deep frying.

Spicy Flat Iron Steak Rub

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
Too sweet. Less sugar would be better. Be carefull when hosting and serving this dish. Everyb0ody does not like sweet meat. I found this had to much sugar. I would reduce the sugar amount and that should do the trick. Thanjks for sharing
