Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
Delicious! We made it (as directed) with garlic/butter croutons. Tasted great the next day, too! Just bake it in the oven at about 250 degrees (F) for about 20 minutes.

Asparagus and Mushroom Puff Pastry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
Tastes good. My husband complemented on the dish. Making the dish took longer than I thought it would (the recipe times). Took other peoples advice and greased the pan, used all of the prepared hollandaise sauce (1 1/4 cup), and brushed the top with the egg yolk.

Lover's Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
This meatloaf was definitely different! I plan to keep this recipe, but change some things to it. My meatloaf came out a little on the dry side. I think next time I'll use fresh bread crumbs instead of the dry bread crumbs that I used. I would add a little more spinach to the recipe, too.

Souper Skillet Pasta

Simple, easy to make. It was good for my son's lunch meals at his day care. (He's 23 months old.)

Crab Quiche I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
It was okay. I listened to others and added the extra egg and two (6 oz.) cans of crabmeat. I added 1 tsp. garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. old bay seasoning. I also added more cheese on the top about halfway through the baking as another person suggested. I also had to cook it longer than noted in the recipe. After adding all the extra stuff, it still wasn't enough flavor. I think the next time I try this, I'm going to have to add more seasoning to it.

Frosty Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
This is gooood!!! My husband loves pumpkin pie and also likes to eat ice cream. It's a good combination. I eat it with the whip cream topping and he eats it straight, without any topping. I used the graham cracker crust as many suggested. The ice cream filling makes a lot, it spilled out. I just scooped out the overflowing ice cream and ate it. Yummy!

Sweet Potato Minestrone

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
This soup is okay. It did taste better after I added tobasco to my soup. I guess it's just not my kind of soup, although my husband liked the soup because this soup is "healthy". On the night this soup was made, the tomato flavor overpowered the sweet potato., but on the second night, the sweet potato flavor came through. It took longer than the 30 minutes to make the vegetables tender (unless you like semi-crunchy vegetables). I ended up simmering it for one hour.

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
This is good as a side dish (or add some meat to the pasta to make it a main course). I used bowtie pasta instead of penne, and only 3/4 cup of broth (because of other reviews). Everything else was done as directed per the recipe. Because there is no meat in this dish, my husband heated up some leftover chicken to eat with his pasta.

Super Grilled Salmon

This was delicious! Not only did my husband and I enjoy this, but a friend of mine (I gave her some for dinner) raved about it and wants the recipe.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
This was good! I used 4 apple bananas (which tend to be smaller and sweeter). The crumbles is what makes it taste so good.

To me, it was okay. Easy to make. It served five of us plus there were leftovers so I could eat more later.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
This is a good recipe for french toast. It wasn't soggy at all. I had to reduce the recipe to make only 4 servings, and didn't have a 1/8 tsp for the cinnamon, so I had to estimate it in a 1/4 tsp. I may have added a little bit more than what it called for, but it was good! My 7 yr old son loved it :)

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
Used mint extract. I like my ice cream a bit richer in flavor. It tasted more like ice milk. Chocolate chips is easy to use, but I think chocolate shavings would've been better.

Caramel Macchiato Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
I made this for my bf, who likes both caramel and coffee. It tasted pretty good, considering that I am not a big fan of caramel or coffee. I like the rich flavor of the ice cream. My bf liked it.

Maple Glazed Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
Yummy :) The only thing I changed was that I marinated overnight and after marinating, I baked uncovered instead of grilling (no grill available). Baking was done at 375 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes (Estimate). Ribs were turned over once to brown both sides.

Zesty Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
Initially I rated this after eating it warm on the first day. After chilling it overnight and eating it the next day, I am adding the fifth star :) It is GOOD! Yum! Below was my first review of the dish. "I like this recipe. I cooked the quinoa in the rice cooker and used the low sodium canned black beans. This is only the second quinoa dish that I enjoy eating."
