Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Great cookies - I used half shortening and half margarine like many so that they did not taste too much like Crisco.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Easy and good. Put foil down and lightly greased it to make for easy clean up. Did not quite use all of the butter called for and used about 3 1/2 chicken breasts to fill and 11x17 pan.

YUM! EASY! Great for a Lenten lunch, too. Bananas of course, would work in there, too.

I was hoping for something better, I guess. Easy to make, so that is a plus.

Added more cornstarch to make it a little thicker, yum! Tastes like soup you might get at a restaurant.

So easy and so, so, good! Little too spicy for the kids' taste right now, but we loved it!

Swiss Sherry Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
This was really tasty, but definitely not too healthy. Served it over brown rice. I cut back on the butter, only put about 2/3 of what was called for and that was still too much. You could also use cream of celery soup and it would be really good. Had too much sauce for the amount of chicken I thought, ended up throwing a lot of that away which was a shame. Will make again, but try to sub in some healthier ingredients. It was super easy to make, so I did love that!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
Since my jelly roll pan is a darker color, I reduced the baking temp to 325 degrees and it came out perfect at 20 minutes. These were nice and moist but the family did not eat them as well as I hoped.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Hubby thought this was too bland even though I sprinkled some garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top. Next time will have to season both sides of chicken breast and try to jazz it up a little more. Overall a good, easy dish though. Served mine with egg noodles. Made 7 breasts in an extra large pan, doubled the chicken soup part and there was plenty of sauce, would have been way too much for only 4 breasts, that is for sure.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

Yum! Great recipe. Used margarine instead of butter. I agree that this is a tangy frosting, not too sweet as another reviewer thought.

Greek Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I'm not a big fan of green beans, but I loved these! Used canned beans, a can of tomatoes w/onion & garlic + 2 small onions and garlic. Omitted the salt. Delish!

McCormick® Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This was our first try making gingerbread men, and they were fantastic! The first batch was a little sticky to get off the counter so we used more flour (our definition of lightly floured must be different). They taste great, the kids love them. Used a simple powdered sugar/vanilla/milk recipe from BHG for the icing, very good!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Yummy! I made this in small loaf pans (4x2 maybe?) and gave it to the neighbors for Christmas. What did not fit in the loaf pans I put in a muffin tin. Muffins baked for 16-20 minutes. Small loaves baked at least 27-30 minutes, not sure on the exact time.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
Yum! Followed recipe exactly except I used mostaccoli noodles. 2nd time I made it I added fresh chopped tomato, sauteed garlic w/the onion, and added mushrooms, olives and parm cheese, of course Italian seasoning on top. Good!

Pumpkin Pie Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
This recipe used twice the amt of pumpkin than a similar recipe my mom has and I really like the thicker pumpkin layer. Yum! I made it in 2 8x8 pans, giving one away and keeping one for here at home. I probably should have taken it out at 50 min, but let it in 5 min more, but it is still great.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Easy and really good. If you are in a hurry you can just use the store bought graham cracker crust and it doesn't take much time to mix up the filling. Then use the rest of the pumpkin on one of the other fabulous pumpkin recipes on this site! I made the pumpkin apple muffins. I thought this could have been a little more pumpkin-y, but a lot of people said they liked it.
