Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
This was really good. Although, it does suck that your oven is taken up for so long, but it's not much different from roasting a turkey. I just made quick cooking sides and prepped them all the night before. I make prime rib every year and it's always a hit but this years rib roast was by far the best. Thanks!

Clam Sauce with Linguine

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This was really good. However I did add a splash of white wine which I think is key. So fast and easy, I'll definitely make this again.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This is really yummy. I've made this a few times now. I would have given this recipe 5 stars but like others have said 2 cups of brown sugar is too much, so now I used a little less sugar and it's perfect. Less sugar make this a 5 star recipe!

This is absolutely a wonderful pie! I do cut down on the sugar a bit. I get requests for this just about every holiday.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
These were okay, as a few others reviewers have said I too think I prefer the kind with flour better. Not the best but good for when you're in a pinch.

Kimbop (Korean Sushi)

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Yes, again the cheese is weird to me too, but with that said kimbap can be made anyway you want. Kim - is seaweed and bap - is rice, the possibilities are endless and I had it many ways. Each family makes it differently. I personally like mine with dak - quang (pickled radish), bulgogi (korean beef), steamed spinach, egg and carrots. It's just what I'm used to.

Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I made this two days ago (to let the flavors meld together) for a BBQ that I had last night and everyone loved it. I used broccoli slaw and mixed it with some shredded cabbage. I also cut back a tad on the oil but you wouldn't even miss it since the cabbage kind of pickles in the dressing if you make it a couple days in advance.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I made this for a bbq this past weekend and I thought it was good but a tad too sweet for my taste. I think that next time I'll omit the white sugar. I also didin't make the chips I bought cinnamon pitas instead. Others thought this dish was amazing, so I guess I'll be making it again.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
I made this for easter and it was a big hit, for some reason I didn't care too much for the seasame seeds, personal choice. Great dressing though, will make again.

Not that this needs another review, but this is the best taco seasoning. I've been using this recipe for a while now.

Easy Garlic-Lemon Scallops

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
I made some changes - first I infused some olive oil with garlic, I removed the garlic and seared the scallops in the oil on high heat. Once the scallops were done I transfered them to a plate. Then I added the butter and sauteed some garlic and shallots and added about 2 tablespoons of flour (as a thinkening agent for sauce). Then added some chicken stock and w-wine, lemon, pasta, asparagus, tomatoes, parmesan and of course the scallops and tossed it all together. So good!!! I guess I came up with my own recipe, but thanks for the good start.

I thought that this was good, but everyone over for easter loved it! My father inlaw even said it was outrageous. I liked the ingredients in this recipe better than others.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Not that this needs another review, but the sauce in this recipe was so good. After the lasagna was done and out of the oven I felt like it was a tad too salty. Next time I'll skip the salt when making the sauce for lasagna bc the parm is salty enough. I really loved the fennel! I made this sauce with san marzzano canned tomatoes. Kind of pricey but so worth it, the sauce was great.

Ras el Hanout

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
This was really good. I used it in a lamb recipe from this website and it turned out great. I left the white pepper out bc I didn't have it on hand, but my dish didn't seem to miss it. Great combo of flavors.

Chicken Vicious

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
This was good. Very easy, but the only things was that it was way too much sauce. I didn't add the peas and mushrooms but instead used celery, carrots and red bell pepper. (Oh, and I made this using chicken thighs) I think next time I'll play around with this and make less sauce.
