Very good. I decided to make the sauce in the microwave by covering and cooking the meats, onion and garlic on high for 5 minutes (700 watt microwave), stir, cook another 5-7 minutes or til meat is cooked and no longer pink; drain. Next I added all other sauce ingredients and microwaved on high until boiling, 10 - 15 minutes. From there I followed the directions until the part about baking. I covered the casserole dish and cooked in the microwave on 70% power for 15 to 20 minutes (or cook until hot in centre, microwaves vary). I sometimes make the sauce by itself or double it for freezing. Wonderful recipe, thanks. Oh yes, do not omit the fennel seed if you can help it.
