Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2014
I think store bought puddings with all the artificial flavors have ruined me. This recipe seems a little bland. I think as pie filling or parfait it would be better (other flavors to mingle with the vanilla).

1st time making bagels... turned out perfectly! The only changes I made were the addition of grated cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños. Yum! This recipe is my new go-to for bagels!

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
Wow! So good and so easy!!!! I didn't have lard... So I used cold butter.... worked fine and probably gave the tortillas a bit more flavor. I used my kitchen aid mixer to mix ingredients and then switched to the dough hook to knead the dough. perfect! I was surprised how quickly they cook.... about 10-15 seconds per side. I'll definitely make these again!!!

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
Great simple recipe! I added 1/4 tsp salt to dough per the advice of others. I also baked in a smaller pan... I like a thicker bread. I pierced dough with a fork, painted with olive oil, and sprinkled coarse sea salt and dill on top before baking. Baked for 10-12 mins. I painted more olive oil on the bread after baking to keep the crust soft and flavorful! Yum! Will definitely make this again!

Great recipe. I did't pre-season the chicken. I dipped the chicken in mustard and then into a flour, salt and pepper mix. Turned out prefect!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Great recipe for a quick and easy dinner. Not so good for the ones counting calories though! I added onion flakes, salt, pepper and used 1 cup of half and half in place of 1 of the cups of the milk (fo a richer flavor). Perfect for using the leftover Thanksgiving turkey!

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
This recipe is perfect! Caution... I tired to keep this warm by putting the sauce in a small pot on very low heat.... it cooked the eggs and made the sauce a little too thick and lumpy. Don't make this mistake! I won't do that again!

Ham, Potato, and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
This recipe was just "ok"... I used heavy cream in place of the milk and added chicken broth because I found my soup was too thick. I also used sharp cheddar in place of the Velveeta and a shallot in place of the onion. After all the changes it was pretty good.... but still tasted like it was missing something.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Great recipe! I used plain yogurt in place of the sour cream to cut fat/calories. Still a lot of butter in the recipe... but I did what I could to reduce the amount and still have flavor! (My husband is on a diet). I'll be making this one again! Yum!
