I almost Never rate a recipe I have altered in any way...especially a negative review. One of my peeves on this site. I did add fresh sliced mushrooms because I had 4 large that needed to be used up. This rice came out so flluffy and delish with a subtitle flavor of the mushrooms . Added to my favorites for sure!! Thanks for an awesome, simple brown rice recipe:)

Delicious Whole Wheat Fruitcake Cookies

I could not find my own recipe for fruitcake cookies, so this recipe was my choice. I should have gone with my gut and realized that with only two tablespoons of butter, these cookies would stick. I could not get the first cookies off the sheet at all. Stuck to the sheet like glue. This was a nice quality airbake sheet that I have baked hundreds of cookies on! For the next batch, decided to spray the sheet with non-stick spray. Most cookie recipes do not require this step. It helped, but they still stuck and many were torn apart as they were removed . They tasted just ok.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Really like the idea of pumpkin in this chili. It gave it a nice texture and upped the nutritional value. I did add more traditional chili spices as it was really bland with the listed measure of spices in the recipe. We like our chili spicy. Is a great recipe to start with and tweak it to suit your own tastes. Thanks for a great recipe. Will do again.

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu

Nice soup recipe. I did end up using a bit more cornstarch since 1 tablespoon did not thicken it as much as I liked. Other than that...tasted great.

Pretzel Crusted Cod with Apricot Dijon Sauce

Very good flavor. My only negative for this recipe is most of the crumbs fell off. I am thinking I left them a bit too coarse. Defiantly worthy of another try!

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls

These were very good. The only change I made was leaving the mint out and left the shrimp whole. They need to be eating the day you make them. The ones I had left over did not save well. Both sauces were very good also.

Jarless Cranberry Hootycreeks

I have made many cookies in my baking career... these ready did not do much for us. My husband asked ne not to make them again...sorry I would agree that they really don't have much flavor.
