Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

TERRIBLE. Made these twice to make sure it wasn't me. The cookies are way, way too sweet. Those reviews are correct. Two c. of chips is way too much. Half that will be fine if you feel you must make this recipe. Too many chips make the cookie very melty-like and they fall apart, and not in a good way. They required 2-3 minutes of cook time more than the recipe called for. I would never make these again. Yes, it's pretty much a rip off of the tollhouse recipe. I only made this recipe because I couldn't find my one from Joy of Baking on their site. This recipe here, well, it's Friday morning and the only cookies left in the tin are the ones from this recipe. Sad, even my teens didn't like them.

Holiday Cranberry Salad

We ate the marshmallows out of it. I followed the recipe completely. Coconut might be better than marshmallows... who knows.. I was amazed at how much more juiced drained over night. That's a good suggestion.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

The BEST pumpkin pie recipe. This was YUMMY. I did use my own fresh pumpkin, not canned. I did add one tablespoon of "pumpkin spice" only because I used fresh, and the canned is loaded with 'stuff'. (another word comes to mind) I absolutely loved this. Again, cracked an egg into the pie shell to 'seal' it, prevents soggy crust. (roll the egg around the crust til it's covered, then dump the egg in the sink)

Blueberry Pie

Listen to the other ladies on here and ADD 1 or 2 MORE TBL. sp. of cornstarch. I usually do not alter someone's recipe, but noone likes a runny pie. It won't change the flavor and you're guaranteed the pie to set. This really is a very YUMMY recipe. I made two. One on Wed. and one Turkey Day morning with the leftover blueberries. For those of you new to crusts, a few suggestions: Crack an egg into the pie shell and roll it around until it's covered, then dump it in the sink, the egg, not the pie. Sprinkle the shell lightly with granulated sugar. Once you put the the top shell on, sprinkle this lightly with sugar as well. I might add too, that the second pie seemed to taste better, and the only difference was I doubled the cinnamon. Use frozen berries, pie will set better. This is a keeper recipe.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I made these today, and just now ate one. I made the recipe exactly, using white sugar for the topping. NOTHING was sunken. you people are crazy. These are delicious and I would absolutely make them again. The only thing I would do different is add more blueberries. I think some crushed walnuts in the topping would be good, too, but they are EXCELLENT as is!! Mine were done in 15 minutes flat at 400 degrees. This is a great quick recipe. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the topping is listed last and should be listed first and made FIRST , THEN make the muffins. LOL Probably my own stupid fault, right?

Funeral Potatoes

Funeral potatoes are yummy, one of my fav dishes. however, this particular recipe is bland and runny. Yes, I made exactly to the recipe. I won't use this recipe again, and advise anyone looking for funeral potatoes, to keep looking.

Heavenly White Cake

I did not care for this. I want a recipe I can print out and follow. Maybe it does work with all the other suggestions. I love to try new recipes but will keep looking for a 'white cake' recipe. Two thumbs down on this.

Peanut Butter Eggs

I made these eggs tonight with my 4 year old son. We had a great time with the dough. The end product was Heavenly. I will makes these again and again. I used Hershey Dark Chocolate chips. Hubby and Daughter don't like dark ch., but the shortening makes it more like a milk chocolate. I did not add any coconut, yucky! These eggs are fabulous. The dough is very easy to work with. I have to say, I cannot stand it when people give a recipe a bad review, then go on to say how they 'altered' the recipe... That drives me nuts! If you're going to review a recipe, be honest and make it EXACTLY as written first, then review it, then make your own changes. Anyway, this recipe is the best and EASIEST peanut butter egg recipe I've tried. Thanks to the person who posted this. **side note, I just came looking for this recipe to make them again. My sister wants a copy as well. I just realized it's one almost one year to the day that I wrote the first review! These are really the easiest, yummiest peanut butter eggs. The dough is perfect for kids to handle.
