Mushroom and Mascarpone Ravioli

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
this was ok.. took forever to make and I found the wonton shells floppy and not nicely flavoured. I will make my own pasta next time and this should improve this recipe greatly. Otherwise the filling was tasty.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
this was great! I tried part of them with mushrooms and part without.. I think I prefer without mushrooms. Must eat with lots of sauce.. I ran out!

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
this was great! First time trying stroganoff. used fresh mushrooms only, cooked for about 6 hours (a double recipe in a huge slow cooker). I think next time I would buy smaller egg noodles but it was great and everyone enjoyed it!

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
really great recipe! use the biggest shrimp you can get your hands on for this recipe. I make a mango chutney to eat with these or I turn orange marmalade into a sauce with some chili flakes for a punch. yum!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
this recipe is awesome! everyone always raves! I do cut the butter by half and it works just as well. I always free up the popcorn before I let it cool otherwise it sticks to the sides and the fragile popcorn breaks.

Chocolate-Zucchini Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
with the extra chocolate it is great and with half the oil turned into applesauce it was great. I undercooked a batch (about 16 minutes) and the middle was gooey... bit more like a brownie. I also used half whole wheat flour so they were pretty healthy too!! double bonus! xox

Shrimp and Okra Gumbo

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I give it 3 stars because this recipe is a skeleton. Made as is it was way too bland. After reading reviews, cutting water, adding much more tomato paste and some spices it tasted better but still not amazing. I expected more.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
made only 1 layer of crumbs at the top, added a little bit of flour and cinnamon to my apples first. I would cut my flour a bit next time since the butter didnt cover everything. otherwise was very good, everyone raved.

Naan

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
this naan is so good! better than the naan I have had in indian restaurants. I would love to see what this recipe tastes like cooked in a traditional oven. I use an electric skillet to cook these so I can put my lid on.. with the extra circulating heat I can get some nice sized bubbles to appear that remind me of traditional naan. I have also tried different things to coat my skillet from olive oil to butter; so far butter wins!

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
so yummy!! I love the sweetness of the pecan/honey with the tart taste of the dijon. I think next time I would use a grainy dijon mustard but everything else was wonderful! Great recipe!

Pineapple Chicken

i played around quite a bit with this. I started off with the basic recipe, then added soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar in different amounts until it was a thicker consistency and tasted yummy.

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
AWESOME!! so easy to make and very very yummy. I ran out of crushed oreos so I rolled my mice in a mix of sugar and cocoa powder to get them a nice light brown. My white mice I used confectionner's sugar and next time I would definitely use ground coconut since the sugar sort of melds into the chocolate and makes the mice spotty. I left a few mice just plain chocolate with no coating and they looked the best to me.

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
this did not turn out well for me... i had way too much pudding, 1 package would have been plenty. I felt the two color of cakes brown and yellow did not look like litter. The green coloring really made it look weird and not like a litter. the tootsie rollsl totally worked though and no more than 10 seconds per candy! i burned myself :) So overall it was an interesting concept, it tasted great but didnt look like I expected it to.

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
Tasted very good, I added too much liquids to mine so it had more of a soup consistency then a cream but that's all right with me, just means more of a good thing!
