About this Cook
I am studying nursing. My mom was always a great cook and most importantly loved it and passed that passion along to me! Out of all my siblings I'd say I am the most adventurous and creative food wise. I love trying out new foods and I love to make food look beautiful and fun! It also helps that my husband is a picky eater.. keeps me on my toes! I also love a healthy dose of competition; my brother-in-law picked up cooking oh about the same time I did and we're having fun trying to out-wow the family! hehe! :D lucky them!
My favorite things to cook
I'd have to say pizza! I love putting crazy items on my pizzas.. no boring ol pepperoni for me!
My favorite family cooking traditions
:) Fondue! my dad is super picky and wont eat turkey for for Thanksgiving and Christmas and any event really we'd have fondue instead.
My cooking triumphs
hmmm; I cant take all the credit myself; I only chose recipes with really high ratings but the one my family cant stop asking for is my Maple Glazed Ribs.
My cooking tragedies
oh my... where to start! the one I remember most is 'Grand-peres dans le sirop'. Usually after one failed attempt I can redeem myself but not with this one!

Banana Banana Bread
make this over and over and over and it's always a hit. I double the bananas though.. love bananas!

Mushroom and Mascarpone Ravioli
this was ok.. took forever to make and I found the wonton shells floppy and not nicely flavoured. I will make my own pasta next time and this should improve this recipe greatly. Otherwise the filling was tasty.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
this was great! I tried part of them with mushrooms and part without.. I think I prefer without mushrooms. Must eat with lots of sauce.. I ran out!
